Well, this is a surprising twist…
Controversial right-wing political activist Milo Yiannopoulos, who was a strong advocate for stricter immigration enforcement in the past, has just been taken into custody by ICE.
We don’t have a lot of details yet on the circumstances surrounding the situation, but it’s being reported that he was detained at an airport in Louisiana.
He is currently being held in an ICE detention facility.
Take a look at the breaking news:

Milo Yiannopoulos is originally from the United Kingdom.
His current immigration status is unclear, but in the past, he held an O-1 visa, which is a temporary work permit specifically for individuals who are greatly gifted in the arts.
Since he’s now facing potential deportation, I guess that expired a while ago.
TMZ was the first to report:
The controversial political personality is currently being held at an ICE detention center, per inmate records. The circumstances surrounding his detention are not yet clear but our sources tell us Milo was detained at an airport.
Milo is well known for his ties to Kanye West … serving as Ye’s chief of staff for nearly two years before the two parted ways in 2024. Kanye is set to perform Friday night in New Orleans at the Caesars Superdome … perhaps the reason why Milo was in Louisiana.
As TMZ previously reported … Milo was also heavily involved in Ye’s political orbit, including serving as director of political operations for his YE24 campaign.
Laura Loomer is taking credit for getting ICE involved.
In a post on X, she revealed that she reported Milo Yiannopoulos to ICE after he called for her to be assassinated:

BREAKING:
Illegal alien Milo Yiannopoulos has been detained by ICE.
I was the first person to report on the fact that Milo was in the US illegally where he incited violence against President Trump and worked for Marjorie Traitor Greene.
Recently, Candace Owens invited this illegal alien into her home.
When Milo called for me to be assassinated, I reported him to ICE and the FBI.
I told you all that Milo was an illegal alien.
He was detained in Louisiana by @ICEgov.
Milo is going to be deported back to the UK where he can live among the Muslims he has recently chosen to embrace.
Today is a great day for America.
While he’s largely fallen into the shadows recently, Milo Yiannopoulos rose to fame (or infamy) as a bombastic personality in right-wing circles several years back.
He used to work for Breitbart and also helped Kanye West (who now goes by Ye) on his 2024 presidential campaign stunt.
In addition, he interned for former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
If you don’t know who he is, the New York Post provided an overview of his background:
The 41-year-old Brit served as an unpaid summer intern for former US Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in 2022, and worked on West’s stunt 2024 White House bid, serving as his director of political operations.
He famously arranged a sit-down dinner between President Trump and the “Heartless” rapper, which was also attended by white nationalist Nick Fuentes.
Yiannopoulos and West had a falling out in May 2024 after the hip-hop star announced he was launching an adult entertainment studio under his Yeezy brand.
Here’s a clip of Milo with Ye and Nick Fuentes back in 2022:

It doesn’t matter who you are or what your political beliefs are — if you are living illegally in the United States, then you should be deported.
Period.
The law is the law.
Milo being detained by ICE is causing quite a stir on social media.
Take a look at some of these responses:
Good way to show we don’t discriminate over here
If there’s reason to remove you, you should be removed 🤨— The MooK Bettor (@themookbettor) August 28, 2026
Fame is not a visa. If you’re in the country illegally, ICE doesn’t care how many liberals you owned on YouTube. That’s what a real border looks like. Keep it up guys.

I can’t believe I bought his book years ago, believing he was a sensible conservative, but he turned out to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. 😆
