CNN reporter Brian Karem doubled down to defend his screaming rant against  Sarah Huckabee last week:

The reason he felt it was ok to act like a maniac during the White House press conference is also pretty unhinged and out there as well. He assumes his role as a reporter is a much bigger one. Yes, this guy thinks his screaming is a humanitarian act to help the “afflicted”. Only a lefty reporter who’s such an ass would think his rantings are helping anyone. Where was the press in 2014, 2015 when illegals flooded our border? Wrong administration? While the press protected Obama, they’re going after Trump 24/7. Here’s what dirtbag reporter Karem had to say:

He thinks it’s his job to “comfort the afflicted”! Really? How about supporting the families that have lost loved ones to illegal aliens? Do THEY not matter? Kate Steinle’s family and so many others will never see their loved ones again because they were murdered by an illegal.

KAREM THE HUMANITARIAN?

WFB reports

“Brian, I have an apology to make,” Karem started. “I apologize to every human being who’s had to suffer who has less than I do and I did not come to the table sooner. I’m sorry to those people for waiting so long and holding my temper.”

“I’m extremely angry with this administration that has lied to me, continues to lie to me,” he said.

Karem said he had forgotten that the job of reporters is to “comfort the afflicted.”

“I’m sorry as a reporter that for so long I thought the idea was to, I was struggling so hard to do my job I forgot my job is to comfort the afflicted, afflict the comfortable, and ask questions for those who have no voice,” he said.

Stelter said he respected what Karem was said he came off as a caricature to people who think journalists are trying to make it all about themselves.

“We’ve been playing by the old rules for so long that we forgot where we are with this administration,” he said.
