President Trump just tweeted a quote from conservative radio talk-show icon, Rush Limbaugh. Earlier today, Limbaugh ripped into the disgraced former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, calling his comments about using the DOJ’s plans to remove President Trump from office, a “silent coup.” Limbaugh also said that the bad actors in the plot to remove President Trump from office should be imprisoned.

During his interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace, on Fox News Sunday, that included a discussion about the need for a border wall, Limbaugh discussed McCabe’s interview on 60 Minutes tonight. When Wallace asked Limbaugh why he thinks McCabe and Rosenstein were involved in a silent coup, Limbaugh replied “We’re losing sight of what happened. People unelected, simply because they don’t like a guy’s hairstyle or like where he came from, decided the American people’s decision was invalid and began a systematic process to get him thrown out of office.”

“This is a silent coup,” a visibly frustrated Limbaugh told Wallace. “These guys, if you ask me, ought to be the ones in jail. They ought to be the ones under investigation.”

Limbaugh continued, “What they have done, working with agents from the Obama intelligence agencies, is simply unprecedented. This is one of the greatest political hoaxes  that has ever been perpetrated on the people of this country—certainly in a couple of generations.”

Watch:

The Hill reports McCabe said in a “60 Minutes” interview that aired tonight that there were conversations among Justice Department officials raising the possibility of removing Trump via the 25th Amendment and that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had offered to wear a wire around them, president.

The Justice Department issued a statement in response, reiterating Rosenstein’s denial of the claim, which the deputy attorney general called “inaccurate and factually incorrect.”

The discussions had previously been reported by The New York Times.

McCabe has since walked back his remarks, with a spokesperson issuing a statement that he did not “participate in any extended discussions about the use of the 25th Amendment, nor is he aware of any such discussions.”

Here is the statement released by Melissa Schwartz, spokeswoman to Andrew McCabe.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), the chairman the of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said he intends to subpoena McCabe and Rosenstein to testify before the panel about their remarks if they won’t agree to do so voluntarily.

On Thursday, February 14, Senator Lindsey Graham tweeted:

The McCabe interview is stunning. Was there an attempt at a bureaucratic coup to take out President Trump? Who is telling the truth about invoking the 25th Amendment – McCabe or Rosenstein? Must find answers. All Americans should be concerned.

Senator Graham and Rush Limbaugh are both correct. Americans should be concerned about Deep State efforts to remove a sitting president simply because they didn’t like the results of the 2016 election.

What do you think? Should all of the Deep State players be tried, prosecuted and imprisoned? Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
