It’s shocking that a sitting Congressman would think it’s even remotely a good idea to accuse President Trump’s son-in-law of instigating the murder of the WaPo reporter in Istanbul, Turkey. Well, the Democrats of 2018 are a different animal, so anything goes…

Texas Congressman Joaquin Castro caused an uproar yesterday when he did just that by referencing a bogus report about Jared Kushner insinuating that Kushner put a hit out on Washington Post reporter Jamal Khashoggi.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders had this to say about the claim;

.’s allegation is an outrageous slanderous lie without a shred of proof, it’s reprehensible for a sitting Congressman and supposed “news” outlets to continue citing an article that used unnamed sources and was completely debunked.

Castro took to Twitter to walk back the claim but he called for an investigation:

“Based on press reporting, I’m asking for Congress to open an investigation of whether any US Intelligence was shared with Saudi Arabia that led to political persecution or killing”

HERE’S THE VIDEO OF CASTRO MAKING THE BASELESS CLAIMS;

Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro: “Jared Kushner may have, with U.S. intelligence, delivered a hit list, an enemies list, to the crown prince, to MBS, in Saudi Arabia and that the prince may have acted on that, and one of the people he took action against is Mr. Khashoggi.”

Castro is a huge political hack who was considered as a running mate for Hillary Clinton in 2016. Word is that he will toss his hat in the ring for 2020. It could be why he’s stepping up his appearances on TV. It’s interesting to see him when it’s rare to see him on TV so you know he’s being pushed out there to tell this bold lie.

What he says is dangerous speculation and irresponsible journalism. The anchor gives pushback to his statement but he continues with his line of speculation.
