We haven’t had a good Sarah Sanders White House Press Secretary sound byte in a while, so she was way overdue. She usually hits a few home runs per week when dealing with the press. This time she was on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and they mentioned Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and the sexual assault accusation from Christine Blasey Ford.
GMA host George Stephanopoulos talked about if Kavanaugh’s accusers were telling the truth or if there was anything about Trump’s behavior or his support that she noticed.
Right away Sarah Sanders did what she does best and absolutely diffused Stephanopoulos and threw it right back in his face by pointing out the double standard and hypocrisy by Democrats.
Sanders mentioned Cory Booker, who was wrapped up in a “groping” story. She then mentioned Keith Ellison who is accused of abusing his ex-girlfriend. Both men are Democrats and it seems like the same Democrats calling for Kavanaugh’s punishment are looking the other way when it comes to their own party members being accused of, or even admitting to, sexually charged actions against others.
Watch Sarah Sanders go at it, pointing out that obvious hypocrisy that Democrats are caught up in.
She said “You know, it’s interesting that you say that… It’s a lot of Democrats that like to ignore Keith Ellison and Cory Booker. They love to fight and champion women until they disagree with them.”
Daily Caller stated: “Sanders referenced current misconduct allegations against Keith Ellison by his former girlfriend Karen Monahan. She also pointed to Sen. Cory Booker’s past admission that he groped a girl while he was a young teenager.
Stephanopoulos pointed out that former Sen. Al Franken was hounded from office by his party, but Sanders rebutted “and a number of other Democrats should have the same type of scrutiny.”
President Trump supports Kavanaugh.
“The Democrats are working hard to destroy a wonderful man, and a man who has the potential to be one of our greatest Supreme Court Justices ever, with an array of False Accusations the likes of which have never been seen before!”
President Trump seems to think this is a smear campaign trying to discredit a Supreme Court nominee that he selected.
Judge Brett Kavanaugh has a vote scheduled for this Friday, pending any setbacks from Democrats who try to stall his confirmation further.
