Caroline Kitchener, who covers abortion for the Washington Post (yes—you heard that correctly, the Washington Post actually has a journalist dedicated to covering abortion), shared a conversation on Twitter that she just had with Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MS).

I just spoke with @ewarren, who suggested the Biden administration establish Planned Parenthood outposts on the edges of national parks.

“They could put up tents, have trained personnel — and be there to help people who need it.”

“It’s time to declare a medical emergency.”

Senator Warren, who isn’t known for having an original thought in her head, isn’t the first one to dream up a scheme to use federal land in states that prohibit abortion from allowing women to kill their offspring.

On May 6, The Nation wrote about the concept of using federal land to perform abortions on May 16, before the Supreme Court ruling that reversed Roe vs. Wade – President Joe Biden could make abortion services available at federal installations. Doctors could then lease the space from the US government out of their own pocket; this would protect them from draconian state laws as well as the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funding of abortion services (and even if it doesn’t get around the Hyde Amendment, who cares, because Democrats could just repeal the amendment if they wanted to). Biden should already be taking these steps in Texas, where abortions have been functionally unobtainable since September.

In other words, Pocahontas Warren would like to erect tents at the entrances to national parks where women could come to abort their children. Perhaps they could livestream the procedures on a jumbo screen for families visiting the park while they’re at it?

Twitter user Josephine Jones mocked Warren in her response to Kitchener’s tweet: Next she’ll appropriate funds for Alan Alda to recreate a M.A.S.H. unit in Central Park. So brilliant!

Janice mocked Senator Warren, who just confirmed that Elizabeth Warren’s scheme exposes the truth behind Planned Parenthood, an organization that for years has been trying to convince Americans they are not abortion mills but instead are “health care centers” for women. She tweeted:

I was told Planned Parenthood hardly performed abortions. Their mission was for cancer screenings and prenatal care.

I wonder how Senator Warren would feel if the federal government set up adoption centers at every national park entrance?
