William Paul, the adult son of Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), faces accusations of hurling ‘antisemitic insults’ at Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) during a drunken tirade at a D.C. bar on Tuesday night.
“His son told Lawler that if Rep Thomas Massie loses, it’s going to be because of ‘your people,'” NOTUS reporter Reese Gorman said.

New: Sen. Rand Paul’s son drunkenly accosted and hurled anti-Semitic insults at Rep. Mike Lawler at a Capitol Hill bar on Tuesday night.
His son told Lawler that if Rep Thomas Massie loses, it’s going to be because of “your people.”
“My people?” Lawler asked Paul.
ADVERTISEMENT“Yeah, you Jews,” Paul responded.
“Do you think I’m Jewish?” Lawler asked. “I’m not.”
“Oh wow, I’m so sorry for calling you a Jew,” Paul said.
He then said that Jews were “anti-American” and how Lawler and his “Jewish supporters” served Israel more than America.
Gorman said the exchange happened “in full view of this NOTUS reporter.”
“William Paul was seated a couple of seats down from Lawler at the restaurant bar, and interrupted a conversation between NOTUS and Lawler,” NOTUS reports.

NOTUS shared further:
Lawler repeatedly pushed back and engaged with Paul, defending his support of Israel, and told Paul he was being antisemitic.
“Paul Singer serves Israeli interests, not American interests,” Paul said, referring to the GOP megadonor who is helping bankroll an anti-Massie super PAC. Singer is Jewish.
Restore Freedom PAC, a pro-Massie super PAC, has run an ad titled “LGBTQ Mafia” that had a picture of Singer with a rainbow Star of David behind him. Massie, a close ally of Sen. Paul in Kentucky’s delegation, is in a tight race against a Trump-backed primary challenger.
ADVERTISEMENTWilliam Paul did not respond to multiple requests for comment. Sen. Paul’s office did not respond to requests for comment. Massie and a representative for Singer did not respond to requests for comment. Lawler declined to give an official comment on the interaction.
At the restaurant Tuesday, William Paul went on to tell Lawler he “needs to watch more Tucker Carlson.” He also said that Massie and his father, Sen. Paul, were the only lawmakers who care about the U.S.
“Well, you just seem to hate Jews, so there’s no point arguing anymore,” the New York Republican reportedly told Paul.
“Don’t put words in my mouth, Mike Lawler, I never said that,” Paul reportedly responded.
Lawler recounted the alleged incident in a phone conversation.
The New York Post shared his comments:
“So Rand Paul’s f—ing son is sitting next to us at the at the bar … And he just like chimes in on our conversation, f—ing drunk and belligerent, and then starts going off about, you know, if [Rep. Thomas] Massie [R-Ky.] loses [his primary], it’s because of my people,” Lawler recalled.
“I’m like, ‘What people?’ He goes, ‘Jews,’ and I’m like, ‘Do you think I’m Jewish? … I’m Irish-Italian Catholic, buddy,’” the Hudson Valley lawmaker went on.
“He’s like, ‘Wait, you’re not Jewish?’” Lawler recalled the younger Paul asking, to which the lawmaker said he replied: “And even if I was, what’s the problem?”
ADVERTISEMENT“And then he got into the Middle East, and he was talking about, like, us trying to steal Iran’s land for the Jews and steal the West Bank, and I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’”
At that point, William Paul said: “This war, it’s all about the gays and the Jews, and I hate them both, and I don’t care if they die.”
Reps for Paul’s Senate office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
