This morning, during an interview with Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with host Maria Bartiromo, Senator Tom Cotton(R-AR) blasted our government’s reckless policies that allow Chinese students to study in American universities and then take the knowledge they acquired here back to China to harm Americans. Cotton was the first lawmaker to accuse China of lying about the origination of the coronavirus in a wet market, and instead, pointed the finger at the level 4 biomedical lab studying the coronavirus in the Wuhan province of China.
Cotton told Bartiromo, “It’s a scandal to me that we have trained so many of the Chinese Communist Party’s brightest minds, to go back to China, to compete for our jobs, to take our business, and ultimately to steal our property and design weapons and other devices that can be used against the American people.”
The outspoken Republican Senator from Arkansas, who’s been ringing the alarm bells about the danger China poses to the United States of America since he took office in 2015, told Maria Bartiromo, “I think we need to take a very hard look at the visas we give the Chinese nationals to come to the United States to study, especially at the postgraduate level in advanced scientific and technological fields.”
Cotton told Bartiromo that American colleges and universities need to limit the types of classes students from China are taking in America. “If Chinese students want to come here and study Shakespeare & the Federalist Papers, that’s what they need to learn from America. They don’t need to learn quantum computing and artificial intelligence in America,” the Arkansas Senator added.
Bartiromo told Senator Cotton that he made a good point, reminding her viewers that anyone who studies in China is forced to learn the culture of China.

Two days ago, Senate Armed Services Committee member, Senator Cotton (R-AR) appeared with Fox News’ Martha McCallum to discuss how the Communist Chinese government lied about the Wuhan virus and the spread of the virus, causing significantly more deaths and infections around the world. Cotton told the Fox News host, that a some studies shows that between 65- 90% of infections worldwide could have been prevented if Communist China didn’t lie about the number of cases from the beginning.
