Well, this is rather odd…

After over three decades of service, Sheriff Nate Brooksby of Washington County, UT suddenly turned in his resignation today.

Sheriff Brooksby is the very same sheriff who helped facilitate accused Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson’s surrender.

Here’s Sheriff Brooksby talking about how he helped arrange for Tyler Robinson to turn himself in:

According to local news outlets, Sheriff Brooksby resigned right after a meeting with the commissioner’s office over undisclosed “complaints.”

The Salt Lake Tribune reported:

Washington County Sheriff Nate Brooksby resigned and announced his retirement on Friday, ending an over 30-year career in law enforcement, according to the Washington County Attorney’s Office.

Brooksby’s resignation comes after the county received complaints “from individuals who were concerned with operations at the sheriff’s office,” Deputy County Attorney Courtney Sinagra told The Tribune.

“The commissioners discussed those with the sheriff, who disagreed with what was being said, but he did decide to go ahead and resign and move on to retirement after 30 years in law enforcement,” she added. “After that decision … the complainant asked the matter not be pursued further, and we’re respecting their request.”

Sinagra said she could not share details of the complaints with The Tribune “out of respect for the individuals” who brought forward the concerns.

The timing of the sheriff’s resignation is very interesting…

It comes right as a huge new development just dropped in the Tyler Robinson case.

An ATF report was unable to definitively match the bullet used to assassinate Charlie Kirk that tragic day to Tyler Robinson’s rifle.

To be clear: the report did not say that the bullet was definitely “not a match” for the gun allegedly used by Robinson. Rather, the results were inconclusive.

We covered the ATF’s findings in more detail here:

Defense For Charlie Kirk’s Suspected Killer Claims Bullet Used In The Assassination DOES NOT MATCH

Still, this makes a case that’s already felt rather “off” from the start to a lot of people more complicated…

But don’t worry, I’m sure it has nothing to do at all with Sheriff Brooksby’s resignation.

It’s just a coincidence.

Right?

At the very least, this is all rather strange…

What are your thoughts on all this?

What’s your view?
