When it comes to celebrity intellectuals in the United States, perhaps none are more highly regarded than Noam Chomsky.  Chomsky is a left-wing activist who is well known for his antiwar philosophy and his book ‘Manufacturing Consent’ where he delivers a blistering critique of the mainstream media.

While Chomsky obviously misses the mark on some issues, he has remained consistent throughout his academic career in criticizing warmongers on both sides of the aisle.

In an interview this week, he criticized the foreign policy elite in the United States and Europe for escalating the conflict in Ukraine.  In the weeks leading up to the conflict, Biden’s administration made no good-faith effort to negotiate with Russia, instead making empty threats that did not deter them from invading Ukraine.

Chomsky went on to say that there is ‘one statesman’ in the United States and Europe who has made a ‘very sensible statement about how you can solve the crisis.’  At the end of the interview, he named the statesman as Donald J. Trump.

In mid-April, President Trump said that he did not understand why Russia and Ukraine had not come to some sort of agreement that would bring an end to the conflict in Ukraine.  “It doesn’t make sense that Russia and Ukraine aren’t sitting down and working out some kind of an agreement,” Trump said in the Monday statement. “If they don’t do it soon, there will be nothing left but death, destruction, and carnage.”

The foreign policy elite running Biden’s administration have been embedded in Washington D.C for decades, but the world only continues to become a more dangerous and unstable place under their leadership.  President Trump had no political experience and oversaw one of the most peaceful administrations in U.S history.  Why is this?
