Georgia State Representative Vernon Jones has been sending some pretty big shockwaves through the Democrat Party over his endorsement of President Trump.

The unapologetic Democrat appeared on MSNBC with Today Show host, Craig Melvin where he boldly defended his unwavering support for President Trump.

Melvin asked Jones about President Trump’s relationship with Putin. Rep. Jones explained that his father is a WWII veteran and four of his brothers served in the military and that he supports President Trump because of his tough stance on Russia. Jones asked the MSNBC host, “Would you want Joe Biden in the basement?” Melvin crinkled up his face, showing his disdain for Jordan’s question, as he pushed back, using an already debunked story about Trump knowing that Putin placed bounties on the heads of American soldiers.

Melvin, who appeared to be obsessed with the fake news reporting about Trump and the Russian bounty story, asked Jones why President Trump didn’t bring up the accusation about Putin placing a bounty on American soldiers during his recent phone conversation with the Russian leader?

Rep Jones was not about to let the MNBC hack get away with his unfounded claims. “Where was the mountain of evidence in the Russian collusion, the Russian hoax? he asked.  “There’s a lot of misinformation, erroneous information, outright lies —you know it and I know it and the American people know it,” he said.

“This President is solid,” Jones told him, adding, “He is not the lamb of the previous administrations.”

Melvin snarkily asked how his district feels about electing a Democrat who’s supporting President Trump’s re-election bid.

Jones told Melvin his record speaks for itself and listed a number of reasons why he’s chosen to support President Trump including “the best economy we’ve had in years and years and years,” the lowest Black unemployment and opportunity zones and support for traditionally black colleges.

The MSNBC host laughably attempted to convince Jones that Trump inherited the economy from President Obama, to which Rep. Jones replied, “That’s fake news!” “We’re not doing that,” Melvin told Jones. “This is my show!” Melvin warned him.

A visibly frustrated Melvin accused Jones of peddling lies, and finally asked if he was getting paid to support President Trump?

“Let me be clear, you get paid to shape a liberal narrative,” Jones replied.

“It’s a simple question,” Melvin said, pressing Jones for a response.

Jones blasted Melvin, exposing the truth about who’s getting paid to spread propaganda, “You get paid to attack this president. I don’t get a dime for this president. I don’t’ get a dime from the campaign. Everything I do is based on my principles. You see, that’s the problem, when an African American that’s an elected official…

Melvin attempted to cover up for his statement, “Sir, I did not raise your…” he said.

Jones continued, “Let me finish now…”

A flustered Melvin attempted to back peddle his statement, “No! You’re not going to imply that I asked that question you that because you’re black…”

“So, don’t ask me that! Jones said. “You only asked me that because I don’t fit your narrative. You know this President never offered me anything. I don’t want anything from this president. It’s what I can do for my country—and you need to accept that me, and other African Americans and others support this president because of his policies,” he added.

Vernon Jones continued, “And to insult me and ask me if I’m getting paid! That is disgraceful!”

“And that’s the representative of MSNBC and their narrative, to keep Blacks silent who happen to support this president. Why can’t I be like white liberals and other white. Do you ask Democrats if they get paid to support Joe Biden?  You don’t ask Stacy Abrams if she’s getting paid?” Jones asked.
