When reached for comment on Presley’s passing, a rep for Cindy, her husband Rande Gerber, and their daughter Kaia Gerber confirmed to TMZ that Presley passed away earlier today. The rep says, “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”

In January 2019, Presley was arrested for a DUI.

Later that year, he was sentenced to 3 years of probation and ordered to complete a DUI program, as well as 2 days of community service.

Presley was the only son of Cindy and Rande.

“His younger sister, Kaia Gerber, recently described her brother as an ‘absolute teacher’ who wasn’t afraid to show the world his human side,” Fox News wrote.

“Presley once said that if sharing his own struggles could help even one person get out of the place he had been in, ‘that’s all I need to do,'” it continued.

PEOPLE shared further:

Born in Beverly Hills, Calif., in 1999, Presley was a model himself. He was charged with a DUI in December 2019, and in 2020, he got a tattoo on his face that read, “MISUNDERSTOOD.” (A year later, he appeared to have had it removed.)

Before his death, Gerber began opening up about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse.

“Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” he said on the Studio 22 podcast.

“[Mental health] is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it,” Presley continued. “That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment.”

He added, “I’ve seen a lot of stuff and I’ve learned a lot of things. What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for some other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made.”

Presley started sharing “Mental Health Mondays” videos on his Instagram. In one of the videos, posted in 2024, he talked about being in recovery circles and how to find common ground with others.

Another video, posted in July 2025, was about integrating healthy habits into his life. He said that he grew up a “very active” kid, playing sports and taking part in surfing, water polo and swimming.
