Famous author and anti-Trumper Stephen King spoke out today that art should be judged by its quality and not its diversity. Makes sense, right?

Nope, King was hammered by the left on social media after commenting about the Oscar nominations to say the quality is what should matter:

“As a writer, I am allowed to nominate in just three categories: Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Screenplay. For me, the diversity issue…as it applies to individual actors and directors, anyway…did not come up. That said…

…I would never consider diversity in matters of art. Only quality. It seems to me that to do otherwise would be wrong.”

Wanting diversity in Hollywood over the best talent is bananas.

After pressure from the left, King tweeted out that everyone should have a fair shot. That’s great, but it’s not the same as affirmative action.
