Attorney Michael Avenatti is brewing up his own storm, this time without his pornstar client, Stormy Daniels, as he has announced on Twitter that he plans to host a resistance rally at the same time that President Trump has planned to host an event in support of Republican Senator Ted Cruz in Texas. This sure sound like it’s cloudy with a chance of attention-seeking. What exactly is the motivation of Avenatti doing this? What exactly does he get out of this besides his name in the headlines of news stories?

Avenatti stated that he wants to “fight fire with fire” and that he wants to make “America America again” in a tweet. The lawyer has been making headlines on his own, gathering some of his own press as the story about Stormy Daniels becomes flaccid.

Is Avenatti just doing this for attention? Some might think so. He’s a big time lawyer now, so he may want those free headlines and his name all over the press. Big name people doing things against Trump is one way to catch some free press. But is it worth it? Will Avenatti gain or lose more clients by going against Trump?

Some people might be wondering what’s the point of hosting an anti-Trump rally? It’s not going to change the fact that Trump is our president and doing a great job. Trump is president now and will be after every Trump-hating event, so why do those people waste their time showing up to be hateful?

“I am excited to announce that I will be leading a large resistance rally in Texas at the exact same time of Trump’s (details tba). All groups are welcome to join. We must fight fire with fire and we must send a message that we will fight to make America America again. #Basta”

Avenatti’s announcement seems to be a direct response to President Trump announcing that he’ll host a rally to support Cruz in Texas. Now it appears that there could be a counter-protest, but it’s unclear where the Avenatti event will actually take place. It could be a counter-protest at Trump’s event, but it could also be an event on it’s own. As stated in the tweet, the details are tba.

This could erupt in violence just like many events we’ve seen with events in the past when pro-Trump supporters are confronted by anti-Trump protesters who show up to an event uninvited.

Some Twitter users have inquired about the Avenatti event contacting Democratic Rep. Beto O’Rourke, but conversations on Avenatti’s tweet seem to want Beto to stay away. The users on social media have stressed that the event will be more of an anti-Trump rally than a rally for Beto.

Trump stated the other day that he wanted to support Cruz and do the event.

“I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October. I’m picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total Endorsement. His opponent is a disaster for Texas – weak on Second Amendment, Crime, Borders, Military, and Vets!”

President Trump wants the biggest location, and according to the Star Telegram: “Texas Motor Speedway president Eddie Gossage likes to point out, the biggest venue in Texas is the track in far north Fort Worth.

“The president said he needs the largest stadium in Texas and that is Texas Motor Speedway by a long shot,” Gossage said Friday. “We also have the biggest TV in the world so nobody would miss anything. I’m waiting by the phone expecting to hear from the president.”

It remains to be seen exactly when and where Trump’s rally for Cruz will take place.

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that any time there are counter-protesters who show up to Trump events, that it almost always turns into chaos and this is something we should share and keep our eyes on as it develops.

Let’s see what happens next.

Maybe more Antifa thugs will get unmasked!

It should be noted that it is currently unknown if Stormy Daniels will be at the anti-Trump rally or somewhere else – like stripping at a club.
