A prominent Chinese cardiologist has publicly acknowledged that COVID vaccines can cause severe myocarditis.

Wang Daowen is the Director of the Internal Medicine Department at Tongji Hospital, Wuhan. He is also a professor at Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

His areas of expertise include myocarditis and cardiomyopathy.

Wang is also involved in politics, acting as a delegate to China’s rubber-stamp legislature.

Wang discussed his concerns regarding myocarditis caused by the vaccine at an annual event called the “two sessions.” These are meetings held by both the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

During the meeting, Wang advised China’s National Health Commission to dedicate resources to the issue of rising fulminant myocarditis cases, suggesting that they are potentially being caused by the COVID vaccine.

Myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle that can reduce the heart’s ability to pump blood, can lead to cardiac shock, arrhythmia, or multi-organ system failure, possibly leading to death. Fulminant myocarditis, more specifically, is an acute form of myocarditis that requires hemodynamic support to aid in recovery.

“It is a life-threatening condition characterized by a rapidly progressive course, with fatigue, circulatory failure, hypotensive shock, or even sudden death,” Wang reported, warning that “most doctors aren’t familiar with it, often take it to be a cold and miss the early treatment.

According to Wang, the mortality rate associated with fulminant myocarditis is over 50%.

Wang shared with the meeting attendees that he has treated many cases of fulminant myocarditis that were caused by COVID vaccines.

“Whether it is a protein vaccine, inactivated vaccine, or mRNA vaccine, there is the possibility of causing fulminant myocarditis,” said Wang.

The cardiologist suggested that all COVID vaccines could cause this severe form of myocarditis.

Wang’s reporting sparked fear and frustration among Chinese citizens, one of whom reported chest pains since getting vaccinated and receiving no help from healthcare providers.

“It’s been two years since the vaccination: I often have chest discomfort, and the hospital can’t give me an answer,” one person said.

Another condemned the government for continuing to force the vaccine on children, calling them “shameless.”
