A beloved Iraq veteran who happens to be a teacher was suspended for voicing his opinion on arming teachers in the classroom. After Timothy Locke’s suspension, the students and their parents protested for several days. They’ve only been told by the school administration that this is a “personnel” matter. One of the students expressed frustration that the teachers are forced into silence about the lack of security because they’re afraid they’ll be punished for speaking out.

THE STUDENTS ARE SPEAKING UP FOR THEIR TEACHER:

Students have praised history teacher Timothy Locke as the most inspiring teacher they’ve ever had. They said the action taken against him was a form of censorship that has cowed other teachers at the school into silence. They also expressed anger at the principal, who they argued has disrespected the students and not been forthcoming about their safety concerns.

“Most students were fine with the comments,” Fox News reported on Friday. “But at least one, who spoke anonymously to local media said the remarks verged on reckless.”Keep reading…
