President Trump is doing things that most people have NO IDEA are happening.

He’s walking a tightrope balancing so many different things, and he’s doing it expertly.

But if you think he’s not paying attention or not doing the things he campaigned on, you’re just wrong. Sorry, I don’t know how else to say it.

He’s doing all of that and so much more and when you really understand it, it will blow your mind.

I know that so many people and perhaps you are struggling with inflation, rent, mortgage rates, electricity rates, food costs, and crime. If you’re in your 20s or 30s, you’re looking at America and thinking that none of the promises you heard growing up are real, and that it’s not the land of opportunity anymore.

In some ways, you’re not wrong because today’s American capitalism is not a free market. We have gutted ourselves from the free market, our history, and our principles.

Then Donald Trump comes along and says it’s a new golden age. When he says that, I think, “Do you mean we’re going to gild everything gold?” Given enough time, it won’t be the White House anymore; it’ll be the Gold House, and it’ll just be beautiful—nobody thought we could have that much gold.

And I named the fountain the “Fountain of America” in the backyard. I got it. So we’re seeing things and struggling at the gas pump, and seeing him do things like name Lake Ontario the “Lake of America,” making you wonder what is happening.

Let me tell you what’s happening. The New World Order promised by Bush 41 and Bush 43—the globalist new world order—looks like something we don’t want. The reason we don’t want it is because we’re seeing that America has to go down the crapper for globalism to work.

Every president we’ve had in recent memory has been working towards that and simply managing our decline. Trump is the first guy to come in and say we’re not going to do that, and that we’re going to have a new golden era and a great age for America into the 21st century.

So he’s not just reshaping America; he is reshaping the world. I know this to be true because I have had private conversations with several prime ministers in the last four months. All of them said, “I know exactly what he’s doing, and I know where the power is going.”

They didn’t say it like it was necessarily a good thing; they just know what he’s doing. Unfortunately, too many Americans don’t. Everything that was set up after World War II from 1945 is over. That order is over because it hasn’t worked out well.

Then it changed to just taking from America to manage our decline. Here’s the latest piece of the puzzle that I’ve been trying to show you on what he’s creating. Wednesday night, Axios reported that the United States is now negotiating an ownership stake—not a lease—in the Venezuela oil fields.

That includes more than a dozen producing fields with something like 90 billion barrels of proven reserves underneath the soil. America currently holds about 48 billion. If that deal is signed, American oil reserves more than double in an afternoon.

Yesterday, Caracas began asking if maybe they should just leave OPEC. This is going to matter while you’re standing at the gas pump. The national average today is $4.09.

That’s not because of demand, because demand is soft. That’s happening because of a strip of water 30 miles wide between Iran and Oman. Before the war, about 20 million barrels a day were moving through the Strait of Hormuz—about a fifth of all the oil in the world.

Today, it could be a trickle or half of that; I don’t even know. But the world is losing roughly 8 million barrels every single day that it stays that way. Our Strategic Petroleum Reserve is at the lowest level in 40 years—dangerously low—so we cannot take any more out.

That’s why you have $4 a gallon, and people are pissed and asking what Trump is doing. I’ll tell you what he’s doing. One waterway, one regime, and one man in the Gulf deciding how much oil the world gets this week is not workable.

Venezuela is not on that waterway. Venezuela is a five-day tanker run to Texas. This is an old idea; the last man to try it was Winston Churchill.

In 1913, the Royal Navy was running on British coal, and Churchill saw that coal ships were not the future and that they needed oil. Oil ships were faster, but Britain didn’t have any oil. He told Parliament that for safety and certainty, they could not depend on one country, route, or field.

They needed oil with variety from various places and needed to be part of that. So in the summer of 1914, just weeks before the world caught fire, the British government bought 51% of a nearly bankrupt company drilling in Persia.

That company became BP, British Petroleum. The fleet now had fuel through two world wars coming from Persia. It also bought Britain the Shah, and in 1979, the regime that is squeezing the straits this morning.

If this deal in Venezuela closes, something much larger than a gas price is happening here, and I don’t think most people have caught it yet. I want you to start looking at maps instead of the news. When you hear the news, look at a map.

The United States is already the largest oil and gas producer on Earth. Canada holds the third largest proven reserves and sends the overwhelming majority of its crude to the US currently. Guyana has gone from nothing to one of the fastest growing oil provinces in the world in under a decade.

Brazil is a major producer and getting bigger. Argentina is sitting on one of the greatest shale plays outside of North America. You add Venezuela’s 300 billion barrels—the largest proven reserve anywhere on the planet—and the Western Hemisphere stops being a customer of the world’s energy market and becomes the center of gravity. Who cares about the Middle East?

Keep going because oil is only the first column of what he’s doing. Canada has the uranium and the potash. Currently, they have given that to China, which is why he’s being so tough on them, telling them to cut their alliance to China and choose if they are on their side or part of the Western Hemisphere.

Chile, Argentina, and Bolivia have lithium. Brazil has iron and rare earths. The hemisphere can feed itself; we’re the largest agricultural exporting region on Earth.

Brazil and Argentina cover most of what we don’t. We have fresh water with the Great Lakes and the Amazon basin. For shipping, we have our own canal back, which is why the administration went over and reclaimed the leverage for this exact reason.

We also have a continent’s worth of manufacturing capacity in Mexico that a decade ago was drifting towards China. It’s back there and ours, and the manufacturing output outlook in America is higher than it has been since 1983.

Jobs and manufacturing are coming back to America. So we have energy, food, water, minerals, sea lanes, and factories, and not one of those things requires anyone’s permission to cross an ocean.

This is the Monroe Doctrine. This is the whole play, and it’s not a slogan—it’s subtraction. Every one of those columns is a place where somebody currently holds a card over us.

Under the Monroe Doctrine, he’s going in and taking that card from them so we have it now. Think about what that does. Iran’s entire strategic weight in the world is that strait.

By the end of 2027, they are building pipelines that will completely erase the meaning of the Strait of Hormuz by 40% to 60%, and by 2028 it will be like 80%. A hemisphere that fuels itself makes any regional nuisance just that—a regional nuisance and not a global lever.

Russia’s leverage over Europe was never tanks; it was gas that they needed in January. OPEC’s power was never the oil in the ground; it was that we needed to ask them for it. China has spent 20 years building ports, mines, and rail lines in South America precisely because they know they need to import everything.

Every barrel and every mine that comes into an American-anchored hemisphere is one that doesn’t go into theirs. This is a president who has decided America cannot be the guarantor of every region on Earth simultaneously.

If he’s right, that means the globe splits into neighborhoods. China is going to run its neighborhood, and Europe will have to decide what it wants to be and live with the answer. It will be Europe’s decision, not something we pay for with our sons and our treasury.

That is a much colder world than the one we were promised in 1991. You have to deal with the world as it is, and in that world, the question becomes: is our side self-sufficient? We learned this during COVID.

That’s what he’s building, and that takes time. Reference the monologue I gave yesterday on the boulevards in France that completely changed Paris in 19 years. Because it was so hard for 19 years, Marxism took root and led to the Paris Commune.

We’ve been here before. If you don’t know what’s going on, all you feel is the pain and then you go to a Marxist for the answer. But a hemisphere that grows its own food, digs for its own metals, pumps its own fuel, and builds its own goods is a hemisphere that no one can strangle to death.

You can’t embargo it, close a strait on it, or starve it into a vote for the UN. For each of our families, that’s the difference between a war 8,000 miles away being a tragedy versus a war 8,000 miles away affecting a mortgage payment.

It’s a diesel price that doesn’t set the cost of every apple in every store. It’s manufacturing coming home because the energy running the furnace is cheap and ours. It’s a 22-year-old getting a job in a refinery in Louisiana instead of a rifle in the Persian Gulf.

This is going to take time because reserves are not production. Venezuela pumps about a million barrels a day today; it pumped three and a half million in the ’90s before the socialists took over.

Getting back there is a decade of work and hundreds of billions of dollars in a country whose pipelines and refineries were run into the ground. Nothing signed today changes the sign at your corner gas station next month, and anybody telling you otherwise is lying to you.

One final thing that is really important: remember Churchill. Churchill did the same thing in 1914 and he was dead right. Every person in a gas line feels why you have to have access to oil.

But he was wrong about the price. He got the oil and a hundred years of a people who never stopped saying that a foreign government owned their fields. There is no elected president in Caracas right now, and the White House calling the place the 51st state is cheap to say today, but expensive to own tomorrow.

We have to do this transparently and out in the open with the Venezuelan people. Make the revenue auditable by the Venezuelans so they can see the books, not just a number announced by us.

We need to make this a partnership that a proud people can defend in their own parliament in 2050, because if they can’t, they’ll take it back. History says they’ll take something else with it, and it doesn’t end well.

It didn’t end well with Persia, Iran, and the Shah. We’ve got to do this right: get the oil and the hemisphere, but get the paperwork and the people right. Get them on your side and make them partners.

As a negotiator, Donald Trump knows there is no good deal unless both sides walk away happy and feel it was a good deal for them. We have to make that a good deal for the Venezuelans as well so we have the entire hemisphere locked in for the next 100 years and nobody can hold us hostage.

I wanted to write this in response to some emails I have been getting recently….because I think a lot of people are completely missing the bigger picture and the incredibly brilliant balancing act President Trump is pulling off right now.

Even today, I was having lunch with my buddy Mark and the topic came up again.

So let’s dig in.

I received two separate and totally unrelated emails from two readers both asking very similar questions.

Each email started off by saying “I’m a big Trump supporter, voted for him 3 times, still support him in a big way, BUT…..how do I answer [THIS CHALLENGE] from liberal friends or family members?”

The first one asked how I can defend or explain how President Trump importing beef to the USA is “America First”? It sells out our farmers.

The second one said I’m being told that the reason we have an outbreak of disease tied to the lettuce is because Trump cut all the regulators and food inspectors so it’s his fault this happened.

Ok, let’s discuss both of those because I think they’re great questions, I think they come from a good place, and I DO want to give you answers! Because there aren’t just hand-waving explanations or flippant little catchphrases I can give you, there are real and valid and nuanced answers that deserve to be explained.

So let’s break both of these down….

I’ll start with #1: How can I possibly defend President Trump selling out our American ranchers! How dare you Noah!

The answer here applies not just to American ranchers and beef, the answer here explains why President Trump is doing so many things he’s doing in these first two years.

In general, President Trump has two different things he can do to fix all of the problems in America….

Option 1: Deep structural repairs and rebuilding to fix the problems at the core, not just paper over them. Treat and fix the core problem, not just the symptoms.

Pros: Long-lasting fixes that will last for decades and far outlast his Presidency.

Cons: Expensive. Unpopular in the short-term. Takes a long time and he only has 4 years.

Option 2: Band-aid, surface-level fixes that deliver quick results, but no real structural change and easily undone once he’s out of office.

Pros: Quick help and relief to the American people. Fast. Easily observable.

Cons: Easily unwound, no long-lasting impact. Surface level sugar high.

So….which option is President Trump choosing?

That’s the thing, he’s doing both!

And you have to watch the moves he’s making and see which moves fit into which bucket to really understand why he’s doing some of the things he’s doing.

Let’s start with this one: “But Noahhhhhh, Trump campaigned on no new wars! Look what he’s doing!”

That question wasn’t one of the two asked, but it might as well be the third.

Understand which bucket this is.

South America has been a huge problem with drugs and cartels and “migrants” overwhelming our borders. Not to mention the very real possibility that it may soon come out that Venezuela might have played a big role in hacking our 2020 election.

Also, Venezuela was deeply tied to Iranian oil. The two countries had a huge petroleum-supply swap relationship: Iran supplied Venezuela with gasoline, refinery equipment, crude and especially condensate, which Venezuela desperately needed to dilute its extremely heavy Orinoco crude. In return, Venezuela shipped heavy crude, fuel oil and at times jet fuel to Iranian state companies.

President Trump wanted to cut off that relationship to weaken Iran before he ever took any action with Iran. So he removed Maduro in one of the most brilliant and overwhelming raids of all time, now essentially runs that country, we now have all the petroleum that used to swap with Iran, Iran got completely cut off, power is centralized in the Western Hemisphere and not only that but we now significantly shored up the Southern part of the Western Hemisphere.

And between Trump, Milei and Bukele, we’re slowly and deeply and methodically cleaning up the remaining corruption, gang-bangers and other mess that had been festering for decades.

Still to come is fully retaking control over the Panama Canal and shoring up the Mexican side of the border. But mark it down, that will still come. Also, Greenland.

So understand all of that is Bucket 1.

Deep, structural system changes that will radiate out and pay dividends for decades if not centuries to come.

My whole life all I’ve heard about is we can’t ever touch Iran because then we’ll be in WW3 with China and Russia, but because President Trump laid such deep structural work first in Venezuela and elsewhere, Iran has been almost entirely neutralized and will take decades to recover — if ever.

Folks, what he has done in less than two years is nothing less than absolutely astounding.

And let’s just address “But he said no new wars!”

Right.

And the part people (not you, but Liberals) are too stupid to understand is that these countries have been actively at war with the United States for decades!

Sure, not openly declared war with uniforms and flanks of military men storming our borders, but they have absolutely been at war trying to destroy the United States from afar — and they damn-near succeeded. Without Trump 2016 and Trump 2024 I believe they would have succeeded.

So despite what your low-IQ friends and family members want to say, President Trump did not start one single new war. He is ending them.

He is ending the system of American destruction that has persisted for decades.

He IS systematically cleaning up the mess we’ve left all over the world and then as messes are cleaned up our troops ARE coming home.

He knew this would make for a tough two years. No other President had the stomach for it (or they have been outright compromised). But President Trump knew the payoff would be perfect. That’s what a true leader does. A true visionary and true leader will lead you through the tough parts to get you where you need to go.

It’s like the coach who puts the team through heavy conditioning in the hot summer sun or in a hot basketball gym. It’s not fun at the time. Things look like they’re getting worse. No one is happy. This sucks! But when you start winning and the conditioning carries you through the season and you start winning championships, you realize there was a master plan all along.

Now let’s bring it back to the beef and the American cattle ranchers.

And what you need to understand here is that President Trump has two competing problems that he needs to fix and both have opposite fixes needed.

Problem 1: the American cattle herds have been declining for decades. Very bad for national security and US food security.

Here’s what it looks like visually:

Problem 2: beef prices are skyrocketing, pricing red meat out of the budgets of many Americans. Also not good.

The problems of course are related. If you know basic supply and demand, as supply decreases, the goods become scarce and prices go up. Simple.

There is a Bucket 1 and a Bucket 2 fix to apply here.

Bucket 1: long-term, systematic and structural changes to bring the American cattle herd numbers back up.

President Trump and his Administration have already been working hard on this since he took office in January 2025 and we’re starting to see the results already coming in, even if slow.

On July 24, 2026, the USDA reported 94.2 million cattle and calves on July 1, 2026 — UP slightly from July 2025.
That’s the first meaningful evidence that the overall contraction may be bottoming.

But that’s a long, slow process and it will likely take years for prices in the grocery stores to come down.

So what does President Trump do in the meantime?

He deploys Bucket 2 alongside the Bucket 1 fix: he temporarily imports beef to increase supply and bring prices in the grocery store down.

Let me say it again altogether: (1) President Trump’s Administration is taking systematic and wide-ranging actions to support American ranchers and bring the cattle herd numbers up. That’s already happening and will continue to happen, but it will take years. (2) Simultaneously, he is now temporarily increasing supply by importing beef to bring consumer prices down.

Running a large company or a large country is not easy, and Armchair Monday-Morning Quarterbacking it from your Barcalounger is honestly quite ignorant and embarrassing.

President Trump is weaving together one of the most impressive dances and balancing acts I have ever witnessed and he’s doing it expertly.

So that’s the answer on the beef.

For those of you who like video better than reading, Glenn Beck actually addressed all of this in a recent video and I thought he did an excellent job.

So on the heels of everything I just told you, now watch this from Beck:

Ok, now on to the second question: Did we have the lettuce outbreak because Trump fired all the regulators and food inspectors? Are we UNSAFE now? Are we all going to die?

Well, to that point, here is how I responded:

A couple thoughts come to mind…

The first is Ben Franklin’s famous quote: “Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety”.

Liberals always want the Government to save them.  They want Daddy Government to change their diaper and swaddle them all day long because the world is such a scary and dangerous place.

Of course true Republicans and Libertarians want the Government out of our lives to the greatest extent possible.

So no, I’m not going to be asking Big Daddy Government for more oversight and more regulation.  The free market will handle it just fine.

Second, sometimes bad things happen in this world.  We can’t always prevent them all, and heaping on more regulators just because there was one little flare up in lettuce, strikes me as a really bad idea.  We already have plenty of laws and plenty of regulations and regulators.  Bad things will still occasionally happen.

Third, it reminds me of the businesses that post signs saying “Guns Banned In This Premises”.  Makes me laugh every time.  Why stop there?  Why bother with banning guns at all, why not just go big and ban crime itself!  Of course the joke is that you can’t ban crime.  You can have as many regulations and regulators as you want, but crime will still happen.  The only question is how much freedom and liberty do you want to retain along the way?

Fourth, it would entirely shock me to learn that this was staged/planted to make the Trump Admin look bad.  Would that surprise you?  Then blame it on “cutting regulators”.  I would actually be more surprised if this were just an organic outbreak.
