Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is visiting two Kentucky counties on Friday with Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO).

“I’ll be in Shelby and Oldham County tomorrow with @laurenboebert and @tichenor4ky. Hope to see you there!” Massie said.

“There will be a surprise endorsement announced!” he added.

“I am proud to support @MassieforKY. He stands unshakeable on the principles of our founding, fighting to uphold our God-given liberties enshrined in the Constitution. He is one of the most principled members of Congress, a defender of the people and someone KY cannot afford to lose. I am voting for liberty, for transparency & accountability, and for the conservative values that represent KY,” Tichenor, a Kentucky state Senator, said.

“Below is my friend Thomas Massie. He loves America and is fighting to save it. Also below is my friend and President, Donald Trump. He’s put his life on the line to save this great country. I support both of these men. I’ve worked with both to preserve freedom and liberty. And if that makes you angry, bless your heart,” Boebert said.

“Lauren is a great friend, and like most of my friends, she likes both Trump and me! Yes it’s possible!!” Massie commented.

Massie also announced a rally on Saturday that will feature several special guests, including Boebert, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH), former Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA), Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN), and local & state officials.

The GOP primary for Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District is now the most expensive U.S. House primary in history.

Massie said on Friday that AIPAC purchased “over $1.5 million of anti-Massie advertising” in the week leading up to the election.

He also said “Miriam Adelson’s superPAC has purchased $1 million of anti-Massie advertising.”

Axios shared further:

The race has turned into an all-out war of inflammatory accusations, savage insults and AI deepfakes.

One pro-Gallrein super PAC ad features an AI-generated Massie dining and holding hands with Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), accusing him of being in a “throuple” and “cheating with ‘The Squad’ on the America First movement.”

Pro-Massie groups have attempted to brutally undermine Gallrein’s MAGA credentials, labeling him “woke Eddie” and depicting the retired Navy SEAL in one AI-generated ad as a soldier abandoning Trump on a battlefield.

Both candidates have attacked each other as being insufficiently conservative on a wide range of social issues, including diversity, equity and inclusion, transgender rights, Black Lives Matter, and immigration.

All of this is backed up by more than $25.6 million in ad spending, according to AdImpact, which makes the fight between Massie and Gallrein the most expensive U.S. House primary in history.

The record was previously broken in the 2024 election cycle when AIPAC spent a whopping $14.5 million to unseat Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.), who was one of Congress’ most vocal Israel critics, in a race that saw $25.2 million in overall ad spending.

The Kentucky 4th district race could end up clearing that figure by a significant margin, with a week still to go until the May 19 primary.

Massie, a doctrinaire isolationist and one of the few Republicans willing to publicly criticize Israel, is facing a similar barrage from pro-Israel groups.

The Republican Jewish Coalition has spent $4 million on ads supporting Gallrein, with AIPAC super PAC United Democracy Project spending another $2.6 million, according to AdImpact.

Massie said on Thursday that he introduced the Americans Insist on Political Agent Clarity (AIPAC) Act.

“We need more transparency in the foreign interest lobbying on Capitol Hill. That’s why I introduced the Americans Insist on Political Agent Clarity Act today,” Massie said.

The Kentucky Republican said the bill would “make AIPAC subject to [the] Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).”

“For some reason, they’re immune right now. And I think, not just the money that’s spent in politics, but the lobbying that happens on Capitol Hill should be reported if it’s a foreign country,” Massie explained.

“Whether it’s Great Britain, Australia, Turkey, Qatar, or Israel. It needs to be reported,” he added.

Massie also supported requiring social media influencers to disclose whether they receive “foreign money.”

“I believe we should have that same sort of truth and advertising on social media. Because if it’s a good idea in the other outlets, it would be a good idea on social media,” Massie said.

“Particularly, because so much of it is foreign money. I remember all these complaints about election interference. Fraudulent elections and the Russians being involved and who else being involved. But really, the elections are being influenced online,” he continued.
