Minnesota Governor and failed VP candidate Tim Walz is now blatantly calling for a “shadow government.”
In response to President Trump signing an executive order to revamp election security, Walz said at a town hall in Texas,
“I’ve been saying this: I think we need a shadow government, so when all these things come up every single day, we’ve got an alternate press conference telling the truth about what things are happening, tell them what’s going on.”
Watch what Tim Walz had to say here for yourself:

I’m sorry, what?
The last time I checked, calling to form a “shadow government” was textbook treason…
Arrest him for treason immediately!

Even more disturbing is the fact that the crowd is cheering this on.
How deranged.

ABC 7 News covered the story:
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz last week called for the creation of a “shadow government,” which he claimed would provide Americans with the truth about current events.
His comments came during a town hall event in Eau Claire, Wisconsin during which he supported Judge Susan Crawford, a liberal candidate for the state’s upcoming Supreme Court election. Gov. Walz accused the Trump administration of attacking voting rights, which he argued could be remedied through a new form of government.
“We see one of the first things they do is try and restrict the vote,” Walz said of the Trump administration. “This is one of the things, though, that this is going to take power industry to — I don’t know what the answer is on this, but I’m kind of — I’ve been saying this: I think we need a shadow government, so when all these things come up every single day, we’ve got an alternate press conference telling the truth about what things are happening, tell them what’s going on.”
The executive order that Walz was responding to requires proof of citizenship in order to vote — a common sense move that Democrats are labeling “voter suppression.”
The Daily Caller commented:
Democratic Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota called for his party to form a “shadow government” in response to President Donald Trump’s executive order on election integrity during a town hall in Texas on Thursday while taking questions from attendees.
Trump issued the order Tuesday, which requires the federal government’s Election Assistance Commission to update its voter registration form to require proof of citizenship. Walz accused Trump of seeking to suppress votes before pivoting to the concept proposed by some Democrats, including Democratic Rep. Wiley Nickel of North Carolina.
“We see one of the first things they do is try and restrict the vote,” Walz said.
ADVERTISEMENTThe term “shadow government,” closely mirrors a similar term often used in the United Kingdom to refer to a practice where each senior member of the primary opposition party “shadows” a corresponding role held by government officials and offers alternative policy recommendations.
All I can say is: thank the Lord that Tim Walz is not Vice President right now.
