Senate Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) wrote a letter to US Attorney General William Barr on Monday requesting he declassify the remaining portion of Susan Rice’s January 20, 2017 email to herself about the secret Oval Office meeting with the coup cabal.
“I request you review and declassify the remaining portion of Ambassador Rice’s January 20, 2017, email and provide it to my office,” Johnson wrote.
Acting DNI Richard Grenell on Tuesday declassified the remaining portion of Susan Rice’s email.
Sara Carter – Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who originally discovered the email and Ron Johnson, R-Wisconson, and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., fought for the declassification of the email since 2018. Grassley and Graham had sent a joint letter to Rice in February 2018 after discovering the email, and the response from her lawyer alluded to national security concerns among senior Obama officials who attended the meeting at the Oval Office. Those who attended the classified meeting were Rice, President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, then CIA Director John Brennan, former FBI Director James Comey, and then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Rice’s lawyer specifically noted that there was no discussion of former British Spy Christopher Steele, whose debunked dossier was also used by the FBI in its shoddy investigation of the Trump campaign.

Ambassador Rice appears to have used this email to document a January 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting between President Obama, former FBI Director James Comey and former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates regarding Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election. In particular, Ambassador Rice wrote:
“President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book’. The President stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.”
Grassley doubted the FBI, DOJ or State Department proceeded ‘by the book.’
Grassley said in a letter to Susan Rice:
“It strikes us as odd that, among your activities in the final moments on the final day of the Obama administration, you would feel the need to send yourself such an unusual email purporting to document a conversation involving President Obama and his interactions with the FBI regarding the Trump/Russia investigation. In addition, despite your claim that President Obama repeatedly told Mr. Comey to proceed ‘by the book,’ substantial questions have arisen about whether officials at the FBI, as well as at the Justice Department and the State Department, actually did proceed ‘by the book.’”
Earlier today, Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel warned the acting DNI Richard Grenell had declassified the full text of the January 20, 2017, Susan Rice email to herself, that was requested by Senator Johnson.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton tweeted the copies of the email first shard by CBS investigative journalist Catherine Herridge, saying: General Flynn targeted in Obama Oval Office meeting with Comey! After the full text of the Rice email was released, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy tweeted about how “Democrats will try to spin the contents of Susan Rice‘s email.” McCarthy added, “But there is one fact that cannot be denied: “multiple officials” were meeting with then-President Obama about “spying on the incoming administration.”
McCarthy reminded everyone of the significance of this scandal, saying, ” The only case close to this in our history is Watergate.”

Sara Carter– Former Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice had said in recent interviews that she welcomed the declassification of her January, 2017 ’email to self’ regarding the Oval Office meeting she, along with top Obama Administration officials, attended with President Obama, during the last days of his presidency.
She, however, should be concerned about the email. Numerous Republican congressional officials contend that the email she sent to herself on Jan. 20, 2017 on the last day of the Obama Administration reveals the extent of Obama’s involvement in the FBI’s unscrupulous Russia investigation into President Trump’s campaign and former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

Michael Flynn was personally targeted during a crucial Jan. 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting arranged by then-President Barack Obama, a newly declassified document shows.
On Jan. 20, 2017, as President Donald Trump was being inaugurated, former White House National Security Adviser Susan Rice sent herself a bizarre email detailing the Jan. 5 meeting between her, Obama, then-Vice President Joe Biden, then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, and fired former Federal Bureau of Investigations Director James Comey. In the email, portions of which were not declassified until recently, Rice recorded that Flynn, who at the time was the incoming national security adviser for Trump, was personally discussed and targeted during the meeting with Obama.
“From a national security perspective, President Obama said he wants to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia.” At the time, the Obama administration was actively spying on members of the Trump team as part of its Crossfire Hurricane investigation against Trump.
“Comey said he does have some concerns that incoming NSA Flynn is speaking frequently with Russian Ambassador Kislyak,” Rice wrote in a portion of the email that was only recently declassified. “Comey said that could be an issue as it relates to sharing sensitive information.”

“President Obama asked if Comey was saying the NSC should not pass sensitive information related to Russia to Flynn,” Rice continued. “Comey replied ‘potentially.’”
“[Comey] added that he has no indication thus far that Flynn has passed classified information to Kislyak, but he noted that ‘the level of communication is unusual.’” The email did not explain how it would be “unusual” for an incoming national security adviser to converse with foreign leaders ahead of a new president’s inauguration. Many observers believe the calls between Flynn and Kislyak were little more than pretext to hide the Obama administration’s spy campaign against Trump from the newly elected president’s team and to justify a continued inquisition against Flynn.
The newly declassified portions of the Jan. 5 Rice email confirm that the targeting of Flynn was coordinated within the inner sanctum of the White House and that both Obama and Biden were deeply involved in the campaign to take down Flynn.
Obama’s former NSA, Susan Rice, is best known for intentionally lying about the cause of the deadly attack on our Benghazi Embassy that left four Americans dead, on Sunday morning news shows. Rice falsely blamed the attacks on the embassy on a YouTube video, knowing the whole time it was a lie.

Two days ago, Susan Rice was asked if she would accept Joe Biden’s invitation to be his vice president if he asked. Rice responded, by saying she would say yes.
