Surrounded by aides attempting to get him away from the cameras and into hiding, Biden gave a quick and incoherent speech to the media today in Geneva, Switzerland.
As he was walking away from the press, CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins shouted a question about his meeting with Putin, “Why are you so confident [Putin] will change his behavior, Mr. President?”
A visibly angry Biden stopped, turned around, and pointed his finger at the female reporter. Biden clapped back at her as though she was personally attacking him, “I’m not confident I’ll change his behavior. What do you do all the time?” When did I say I was confident,” he asked, keeping his finger pointed at her. “What I said was—let’s get it straight,’ Biden said.
Kaitlan Collins, undeterred by Biden’s bullying behavior, continued with her questions, asking why he called his meeting with Putin “constructive” when Putin’s past behavior hasn’t changed, and he denied any involvement in cyberattacks or human rights offenses. Biden continued with his rude behavior by insulting the female reporter, “If you don’t understand that, you’re in the wrong business!”
