A group of activists stormed the Oklahoma capitol to try and stop Republican legislators from passing a bill that prohibits gender transition surgery for children, which criminalizes mutilating the genitals of minors. The law is called the Millstone Act and would “prohibit Oklahoma doctors from providing gender transition procedures or referral services relating to such procedures to anyone under the age of 26.”

The group stormed the capitol yelling “Trans Lives Matter,” perhaps unable to see the irony. Because children’s lives matter, the legislature is hoping a bill that protects kids from the influence of adults who would see them manipulated into a premature and permanent decision is delayed until the child is an adult and also independent. 

The lack of action by the FBI seems strange as J6 protestors have been arrested in mass for entering the U.S. capitol in protest of the elections.

Many have flocked to Twitter to demand equal justice under the law. But one tweet from an Oklahoma resident brought the J6 arrests into perspective, showing how inappropriately law enforcement and Nancy Pelosi handled the day.

“Oklahoma still values the citizen’s right of peaceful redress, no matter the message. You either support the Constitution, or you don’t. No flash bangs, no shots fired at unarmed veterans, no fences…I’m proud of my state today for being true to our Constitution.”

Jack Posobiec tweeted video footage of the protest or riot “Trans Lives Matter stormed and occupied Oklahoma Capital today.”

The activists also yelled “We are Oklahoma”, hoping to delay the vote on the Millstone Act. Oklahoma Governor, Kevin Stitt who has already banned biological males from competing in women’s sports, and required sex-segregated school bathrooms requested that the legislature draft a bill to protect children. Governor Stitt said, “Send me a bill that bans all gender transition surgeries and hormone therapies on minors in the state of Oklahoma.”

State Senator David Bullard, who sponsored the Millstone Act said, “The bill would further authorize the state’s attorney general to enforce the act and those found guilty of violating it would be guilty of a felony and subject to license revocation,” He continued, “Child abuse is a felony in our state and mutilating a young person’s genitalia should be viewed no differently. The Millstone Act will hold those who perform child mutilation accountable by making such activity a felony. Those guilty of such a heinous crime will be both legally and financially liable.“

Andy Ngo tweeted a series of videos and mentioned that the bill would also keep parental rights in places so parents know what is happening with their children while they are at school, “A mob of #trans activist took over the Oklahoma Capitol building to try & stop the state’s Republican lawmakers from passing bills that would outlaw the transitioning of minors & require teachers to inform parents if students identify as trans.”
