“Absolute lie. This is exactly how the left & the media continue to perpetuate hate & division.”
Much to the chagrin of the democrats and our sycophantic mainstream media, the horrifying truck crash that killed one and injured another was not the work of a gay-hating white supremacist. The tragedy occurred Saturday evening when two people were run over by a white pickup truck just as the Stonewall Pride Parade in Wilton Manors Fl. was about to begin. The knee-jerkin reaction coming from the press and leftist social media users was that it was an intentional homophobic attack.
Eager to point fingers and lay the blame on some backwoods, hayseed hick Trump supporter, the esteemed Ft Lauderdale mayor, Democrat Dean Trantalis weighed in, “This is a terrorist attack against the LGBT community,” Trantalis said. “This is exactly what it is. Hardly an accident. It was deliberate, it was premeditated, and it was targeted against a specific person. Luckily they missed that person, but unfortunately, they hit two other people.” It is not clear who the mayor believes to have been the original target.
Conservatives took to Twitter to call out the mayor, “Will he apologize?”

When police took the driver of the truck into custody, he was wearing a Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus t-shirt. The official said the driver told police that his foot was stuck between the gas pedal and the brake causing him to lose control of the truck.
UPDATE: Driver and victims of Pride parade crash were all part of Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus. Chorus president doesn't believe it was an attack. https://t.co/wB6LPBJ0ND

Justin Knight, the chorus’ president, said through a spokesman that chorus members were the ones injured and that the driver too, was “part of the Chorus family.”
When asked if the driver was being charged, or if he might have been drinking, Fort Lauderdale Police Det. Ali Adamson would only say that they’re talking to the driver as they continue to investigate. Saturday night, the FBI got involved.
