President Trump tossed out some great one-liners about the midterms today during the annual turkey pardon at the White House

President Trump started off with a typical greeting: “At this time of the year, we reflect on all of the many blessings in our lives.”

Then the president started in with the political jokes about the midterms and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals:

The two pardoned turkeys are named Peas and Carrots…President Trump proclaimed that “the winner of this vote was decided by a fair and open election.” Then he announced that Peas had won the popular vote for the pardon over Carrots. Then he joked about the midterm elections:

“Unfortunately, Carrots refused to concede and demanded a recount, and we’re still fighting with Carrots.”

The president went on to joke about the 9th Circuit too. All the media could do was criticize the manner in which the president pardoned the turkeys. You’d think they would have something nice to say for once.
