President Trump is demanding that the New York cases against him be dismissed, and he is pointing straight at their own star witness.
Michael Cohen, the man Tish James and Alvin Bragg built their cases around, has come out and said he was pressured and coerced to give testimony aimed at taking down President Trump.
Trump posted on Truth Social shortly after midnight on June 2, 2026, laying out the simple problem this creates for two of the most prominent lawfare prosecutors in the country.
When the witness recants, and when prosecutors admit that witness was the single reason the case existed, Trump asked, how does the case survive?
That is not a rhetorical trick. That is Cohen’s own account.
When a Star Witness totally recants, and in every way reveals that he was pressured and coerced to give testimony, and when the Prosecutor admits that this Witness was the single reason that the case was brought, there was no other, how can that Case not be immediately dismissed?… pic.twitter.com/kHYaWdw3V4

Trump named the cases directly: the Democrat New York Attorney General and Manhattan District Attorney matters brought against him.
He named James and Bragg, and he said they should be held responsible for what he called the radical left lawfare and weaponization of the justice system.

That is exactly what happened in the Democrat New York Attorney General and Manhattan District Attorney’s Hoaxes against me.
Michael Cohen has come out and unequivocally stated that the Radical Left Prosecutors, Tish James and Alvin Bragg, pressured and coerced him to testify against your favorite President, ME, when they made him the key player in their Political Witch Hunts.
Now that his testimony is wiped away, and the unAmerican, Political Charade “Cases” are even further discredited, they should be put out of their misery, and dismissed, once and for all.
Our Constitution, and the Rule of Law, demand immediate and swift dismissal, as well as for the Perpetrators of the Radical Left Lawfare and Weaponization to be held criminally responsible for their terrible misdeeds.
ADVERTISEMENTWe have to restore Confidence and Honor in our Justice System. I am an innocent man who has been horribly treated.
Hopefully the Courts will do what everyone knows should be done. Thank you!
President DONALD J. TRUMP
The reason this lands so hard is the source.
Cohen was not a Trump ally. He was the prosecution’s chosen man, the witness they built the spectacle around.
Now he is describing the process in his own Substack essay, and what he describes is not justice.
Cohen wrote in his Substack essay:
I felt pressured and coerced to only provide information and testimony that would satisfy the government’s desire to build the cases against and secure a judgment and convictions against President Trump.
During my time with prosecutors, both in preparation for and during the trials, it was clear they were interested only in testimony from me that would enable them to convict President Trump.
When my testimony was insufficient for a point the prosecution sought to make, prosecutors frequently asked inappropriate leading questions to elicit answers that supported their narrative.
ADVERTISEMENTI experienced a similar dynamic in the Attorney General’s civil case. Letitia James made it publicly known during her 2018 campaign for attorney general that, if elected, she would go after President Trump.
Her office made clear that the testimony they wanted from me was testimony that would help them do just that. Again, I felt compelled and coerced to deliver what they were seeking.
Letitia James and Alvin Bragg may not share the same office or political calendar, but they share the same playbook.
Both used their platforms to elevate their profiles, to claim the mantle of the officials who “took down Trump.” In doing so, they blurred the line between justice and politics; and in that blur, the credibility of both suffered.
Read that last line again. The man at the center of both cases is now saying the prosecutors blurred the line between justice and politics.
He says James ran on going after Trump before she had a case, and that the testimony her office wanted was testimony that would help her keep that promise.
He says Bragg’s team fed him leading questions when his answers were not good enough for their narrative.
That is the witness talking about the process, not Trump.
James and Bragg built their public reputations on these prosecutions. They sold themselves to voters as the officials who took down Trump.
Now their own key witness is describing how that mantle was earned.
Trump is asking the courts to do what the facts now point to. With the testimony discredited and the witness recanting, the cases lose the foundation they were built on.
He says the Constitution and the rule of law demand dismissal, and that the people who ran this playbook should answer for it.
The pressure is on the courts now, and the witness who built these cases has handed them every reason to act.
