During the brief government shutdown in January, liberals came completely unhinged when President Trump invited the National Champion Clemson Tigers football team to the White House to celebrate their victory and served them fast food. Since the government was shut down, President Trump offered to pay for the food for out of his pocket. Trump, who is notorious for eating McDonald’s thought it would be a great idea to serve the football players a meal that consisted of a variety of fast food.

The leftist media and liberals on social media treated responded as though he has just fed the team rat poison.

President Donald Trump, who much to the dismay of the left, won’t allow them to get under his skin, doubled down on the haters and treated the North Dakota State University football champions to some all-American Chick-fil-A at the White House on Monday.

According to Breitbart – The president surprised the players with a spread of fast food to celebrate, similar to his event honoring the Clemson Tigers, the NCAA football champions.

This time, however, he included Chick-fil-A, with his order of Big Macs, delighting supporters of the president who also enjoy the food from the Southern-based fast-food company with Christian principles.

Trump urged the players to grab a sandwich during his speech.

“I would have one right up here, but I don’t think I want to do that because it would be too big a story for these people,” Trump said, motioning to the press. “They’ll say, ‘Isn’t it horrible? Isn’t it inappropriate?’”

“We like American companies,” he said.

Remember what President Barack Obama fed the 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide National Championship football team?

After looking back at what previous football teams were given when they visited the White House, we were shocked to find that according to ESPN,  Obama gave the Alabama team absolutely nothing…zero, zip, nada. No food for these hungry players?

Here’s what ESPN said about the cost of the travel and food:

In 2010 Obama didn’t feed them anything.

“The program called for no food to be served, yet White House maitre d’ George Hannie, resplendent in a tuxedo, stood in front of the State Dining Room.”

But look what they ate afterward (at their own expense)

The day cost Alabama at least $85,000 — including $79,000 for the Delta charter round-trip flight from Tuscaloosa to Reagan National Airport, $1,700 for four charter buses in Washington and $3,300 for box lunches (including a few extra sandwiches; this was, after all, a football team) delivered by Chick-fil-A to the team after the visit.

So Alabama paid $3,300 for lunches after they left and it was crickets from the media.
