Beto O’Rourke has been attempting to break the single digits in recent polling that shows he doesn’t have a chance of becoming the Democrat presidential candidate in 2020. Last week, during the second Democrat debate, O’Rourke told the moderators that if elected, there would be gun confiscation, saying, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15’s.” There’s only one problem…there’s also a video of O’Rourke saying that he would not take guns from legal gun owners when he was running against Senator Ted Cruz (TX) in 2018. The NRA put the two videos together to show how dishonesty and insincerity of the Democrat candidate.

Fox News’ The Five co-host Jessie Watters and liberal co-host Juan Williams got into a sparring match over Beto O’Rourke and his threat to take guns away from Americans. Watters asked Williams, “So, you think that people going door to door taking legally purchased weapons is a good idea?” Williams replied, “No, no, no. I think — look, that’s fear-mongering, talking about “Oh, you got to go door to door”

Watters explained to Williams “Because that’s actually going to cause more violence.” He continued to explain the reality of what would happen if the government tried to take guns from legal gun owners, “This is going to cost more lives than mass shootings would cost.”

Williams attempted to discredit Watters, “No, come on…”

Watters mocked Williams, asking him, “You’re kidding me? You are going to go to people and say, ‘Hey, hand it over, give it the hell to me?'”

President Trump retweeted a link to an article about the exchange between Williams and Watters, where Watters claims the Democrat presidential candidate who’s polling in single digits just “shrunk his candidacy”  with his gun-control pitch during the latest televised Democrat debate.

In his tweet, President Trump ripped O’Rourke for making such a stupid remark while Congress debates how to deal with recent mass shootings in America. Trump started his tweet by assigning one of his classic nicknames to “Beto” Robert Francis O’Rourke—and it’s perfect.

“Dummy Beto made it much harder to make a deal. Convinced many that Dems just want to take your guns away. Will continue forward,”

Within minutes, “Dummy Beto” was trending on Twitter.

Just to be clear, gun confiscation is now a key component of the Democrat Party platform. Watch, as Beto doubles down on his gun confiscation rhetoric during an interview with MNBC.
