Even though President Trump was banned from attending Senator John McCain’s funeral, the president did the right thing and honored a request from the grieving McCain family. They asked to use Air Force 2 to transport McCain’s body to D.C.

Yes, how ironic that Senator John McCain’s body was flown to Washington D.C. on an aircraft that had to be approved by President Trump. It’s interesting that the president took the high road and approved the use of the plane by the family. A very nice gesture by the president…

Air Force 2 is often designated for the Vice President or First Lady’s travel.

TMZ reports:

President Trump announced earlier this week he had approved military transport for McCain, saying, “At the request of the McCain family, I have also authorized military transportation of Senator McCain’s remains from Arizona to Washington, D.C., military pallbearers and band support, and a horse and caisson transport during the service at the United States Naval Academy.”

So you would think the McCain family would tone down the rhetoric against President Trump…that didn’t happen. Meghan McCain delivered a bitter, angry and sad eulogy that bashed President Trump.  It was ugly.

We wonder how they’ll feel after days pass and they’ve had time to reflect. Do you think they’ll be grateful for the gesture? We doubt it…they felt entitled to it and expected it. That’s how D.C. elitists roll…

IN CASE YOU MISSED THE EULOGY FROM MEGHAN MCCAIN:

BITTERNESS IS A HORRIBLE THING TO PASS ON…

It’s sad to see the eulogy of a father turn into a bitter slam of our president. The one thing that comes to mind when watching the eulogy of Senator John McCain by his daughter is the old saying, “Life father, like daughter”.

Meghan McCain used what could have been a beautiful moment to celebrate her father to slam President Trump in a bitter-sounding rebuke of his presidency. It’s sad to say but it’s probably what her father would have wanted anyway.

McCain said she asked her father what she should say at his eulogy and he responded with, “Show them how tough you are.” That advice is not what this occasion was the time and place for…but this is John McCain’s final stand beyond the grave and he knew his brash daughter would pull through for him….Like father, like daughter…

Meghan McCain, speaking at her father’s funeral: “The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again, because America was always great.”

Time and place matter…especially with funerals. The National Cathedral was packed with Trump cabinet members and with the president’s daughter. Was it the time or the place to have a virtual temper tantrum at the church where your father’s funeral is being held?

Classless, Bitter and Sad…Like father, like daughter
