During an interview today with Fox and Friends, President Trump discussed changing the “iconic” color of Air Force One to a more “classic” red, white and blue, saying it to represent the colors of the United States.

“I like the concept of red, white, and blue,” Trump told Fox and Friends host Steve Doocey. “And I think it’ll look much better, actually. The baby blue doesn’t fit with us.”

Trump reminded the Fox and Friends hosts that the current baby blue color of Air Force One was chosen by former first lady Jaqueline Kennedy, saying, “We have our own Jackie O, it’s called Melania, Melania—we’ll call it Melania T, okay?”

Fox and Friends host Brian Kilmeade quickly reminded his viewers that Melania “is doing a great job,” and “does not get enough credit.” President Trump agreed, saying, “and the people love her,” telling the hosts that a lot of people love her, but the media gives her no credit.

Washington Examiner – The current first lady has emulated Kennedy’s iconic style. During her husband’s inauguration in 2017, Trump wore a powder-blue ensemble similar to the one Kennedy wore to the former president’s inauguration in 1961.
