President Trump is acting fast to waive “outdated rules and bureaucracies” related to the testing of the anti-viral hydroxychloroquine, a drug that’s been commonly used for decades to treat malaria after a study by Dr. Gregory J. Rigano showed chloroquine showed a 100% cure rated for coronavirus.
The Daily Caller reports – President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he has directed Federal Drug Administration commissioner Stephen Hahn to waive “outdated rules and bureaucracies” on the testing of various “anti-viral therapies” to combat coronavirus.
Trump noted that the vaccine pursued by the National Institutes of Health and other medical bodies, “by its nature” requires lengthy testing periods.
Earlier today, The Gateway Pundit reported about an interview last night on Fox News’ Ingraham Angle with Gregory J. Rigano and host Laura Ingraham, where they discussed a new study that has revealed the anti-viral medication chloroquine and its sister drug, the generic hydroxychloroquine is successful in fighting and very possibly will prevent the coronavirus.
Dr. Rigano claimed that during a well-controlled study involving 30 patients, the patients who took hydroxychloroquine tested negative for coronavirus, and the patients he called “heroes” for agreeing to take a placebo, did, in fact, contract coronavirus.
During the interview, Laura Ingraham that claims the chloroquine costs about 5 cents per tablet and admitted that she’s taken chloroquine on three separate occasions before traveling to Africa, as a way to prevent contracting malaria.
“It’s shown very encouraging early results, and we’re going to be able to make that drug available almost immediately,” the president stated. “And that’s where the FDA. has been so great.”
Trump added that the FDA “has also confirmed compassionate use for a number of patients.”
