Given their contentious history, was anyone really surprised when, over the weekend, Representative Devin Nunes disclosed to Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, that no official intelligence was used by former President Barack Obama’s DOJ to spy on Trump and his campaign?
Donald Trump has never been a fan of Barack Obama, and he’s never made any secret about how he feels. First, it was the birther issue, and then it was Trump’s offer to give Barack Obama free golf for life…with a catch.
In 2010, Trump sent a team of investigators to Hawaii to uncover the truth about Barack Obama’s birth certificate.
During an interview with NBC, Trump warned that his investigators just might uncover “one of the greatest cons in the history of politics and beyond.”
“I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they’re finding,” Trump said an interview that aired Thursday Morning.
“He spent $2 million in legal fees trying on to get away from this issue, and if it weren’t an issue, why wouldn’t he just solve it?” he said. “I wish he would because if he doesn’t, it’s one of the greatest scams in the history of politics and in the history, period. You are not allowed to be a president if you’re not born in this country. Right now, I have real doubts.” –CNN

Over Labor Day weekend in 2014, President Obama tried to play some golf at a couple of America’s top tracks. The operative word there being tried.
Being the President of the United States of America has plenty of perks. Apparently, getting onto Winged Foot Golf Club or Trump National Bedminster are not among them.
According to sources, Obama’s team called a number of courses looking for tee times but were rebuffed at every turn. Most courses didn’t want to inconvenience their members with the circus that is having the president play your golf course. Only once do you have to be on the outside looking in at this production to understand exactly what I mean by circus. –Fox Sports

When asked by Golf.com about Obama’s unsuccessful attempt to play golf at Trump National in Bedminster, N.J., Trump declined comment through a spokeswoman.
