One of the main reasons so many people love President Trump is how he often times manhandles the biased mainstream media, an activity the average American — who happens to be sick of being lied to on the nightly news — finds to be thoroughly satisfying.

Yes, if Trump had a super power, it most definitely would be his ability to tick off reporters, which he’s doing again by deciding to skip the White House Correspondents Association Dinner for the second year in a row.

The Daily Caller is reporting:

President Donald Trump will skip the White House Correspondents Association dinner in late April for the second year in a row, the White House told the organization Friday.

The statement from WHCA president Margaret Talev however noted that White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will attend the dinner and sit at the head table in lieu of Trump. Trump will also encourage other senior administration officials to attend the dinner as opposed to the year prior where no members of the administration were in attendance.

Trump foreshadowed his announcement in a radio interview Friday morning saying “I probably won’t do it”…”I sort of feel that the press is so bad,”….”It’s so fake, it’s so made up. I mean, ‘sources say’ and they have no sources. They’re like novelists. I call them novelists.”

Ouch.

You know that just had to sting a little, but that’s kind of how it goes when someone tells the honest, brutal truth. And that’s precisely why Trump got voted into office. He calls it the way he sees it.

Once upon a time, long ago, there used to be a set of principles journalists abided by called “journalistic integrity,” which basically meant that regardless of their position on an issue, reporters would simply give people the facts, even if it hurt the side they were rooting for or the cause they believed in.

The idea was that people need the truth so they can follow it where ever it leads, and that audiences were capable of making their own sound decisions.

That’s simply not true anymore. The media has a definite agenda and they use any tactic they can come up with to push it on people, believing their audience is too stupid to come to the right conclusions without being led there by the hand.

This attitude is what caused so many to come out in support of Trump and why so many love him now. His decision to not attend the dinner just backs that up even more.
