It’s hard to believe just how emboldened the illegals have become. The latest stunt they’re pulling is an attempt to invade our border to seek asylum. Over 1,000 mostly Honduran asylum seekers are reportedly being assisted by Mexican officials:
President Trump slammed Mexico for not doing enough to stop people attempting to get to the U.S. from entering their country and appeared to tie the continuation of a major trade deal to funding his border wall.
“Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!” Trump tweeted.
Trump Sunday appeared riled by reports of a caravan of migrant workers — mainly Hondurans — marching through Mexico toward the U.S. border. He earlier appeared to end negotiations over a deal for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which allows illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children to stay in the country legally.
A “Holy Week” caravan of over 1,000 migrants marching to the U.S. border are going to demand Easter asylum, according to reports. Mexican officials are also reportedly assisting the border crossers:
We’re here in Tapachula doing workshops and activities to get to know each other and prepare to be a strong, united team for the 2018 Refugee Caravan “Migrantes en la Lucha!
According to an account from the Center for Immigration Studies, Mexican authorities have allowed the migrants to drive north “with relative ease.”
Mostly Hondurans, they posted celebration videos on Facebook and chanted “We are migrants. We are not criminals. We are workers.”
“On Monday Pueblo Sin Fronteras posted a video with the caption, ‘The Refugee Caravan knocking down borders yesterday in Huehuetan! Immigration agents abandoned the post when they saw us coming. The people celebrate this first small victory!”
Locals have also provided supplies along the way.
Washington Examiner reports:
Their goal is to cross into the U.S. this weekend and demand asylum. But they have also prepared special security measures should something go wrong, according to Luna.
“Refugees / migrants marching to the park to practice security protocols and form working groups”
“Additionally, the group practiced security protocols, including formations which called for the men of the group to form a wall around the women and children. Moreover, the Central Americans made their way to Mexico’s Commission for Refugee Assistance and made calls for better compliance with international and national laws, faster processing of asylum applications, and an increase in acceptance rates,” she wrote.
