President Trump made a cameo appearance in Home Alone 2 at The Plaza that has become a classic scene because he’s now our president. His popularity before he was POTUS was with a wide range of Americans and people all around the world.

The scene has become a special moment during the movie because of Trump’s popularity and especially now that he’s POTUS. It’s a short scene but a fun moment. Trump allowed the movie crew to remove the carpeting from the long hallway in the lobby so Macauley Culkin could slide down the hallway. He liked it so much that he never put the carpeting back.

President Trump was asked over the Christmas holiday during a call to the troops how he feels about the cameo appearance. He said it was an “honor” to be in the movie:

‘Well, I’m in Home Alone 2,’ POTUS said to laughter from the troops. “A lot of people mention it every year, especially around Christmas. They say – especially young kids – they say, ‘I just saw you on the movie.’ They don’t see me on television as they do in the movie. But it’s been a good movie, and I was a little bit younger, to put it mildly. And it was an honor to do it. ”

Recently, the CBC cut the popular scene with Trump in it causing outrage from supporters of the president. Even people who aren’t fans were upset:

In a prime example of absurdity, CBC Cuts Donald Trump’s Home Alone 2 Cameo From Broadcast.

Cynthia P. Garrett commented on Twitter: Don’t love Trump, but come on folks – Your hysteria over this man has risen to evangelical fervor. Guessing he’ll be scrubbed from history books too?

Another Twitter user commented: “You guys are the biggest bush league ‘journalists’ of all time. Editing out Trump’s cameo in Home Alone 2. What kind of state-sponsored bulls–t is that?

The CBC is claiming the scene was cut to “allow for commercial time.”

Does anyone believe that?
