Ted Cruz, who has previously been an advocate for election integrity and objected to the certification of the 2020 election, has now turned on his Republican colleagues and the patriots who showed up to protest the fraudulent 2020 election.  Cruz joined on a letter signed by multiple other Congressmen alleging “unprecedented allegations of voter fraud, violations and lax enforcement of election law” in the wake of the 2020 election.  Yesterday, Cruz turned his back on other Republicans and had this to say about the January 6th unrest.

“We are approaching a solemn anniversary this week,” Cruz said in a Senate Rules Committee hearing. “And it is an anniversary of a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol, where we saw the men and women of law enforcement demonstrate incredible courage, incredible bravery, risk their lives for the Capitol.”

Tucker Carlson pushed back against Cruz on FOX news last night in an interview, WATCH:

Tucker opened the segment saying that Cruz “Never uses words carelessly, you called this a terror attack, when by no definition was it a terror attack, that’s a lie, you told that lie on purpose, and I’m wondering why you did”

Cruz attempted to backtrack and say that he did a bad job wording the statement, which Tucker promptly shot down.

Tucker went on to correctly point out that no one involved in January 6th has faced charges relating to terrorism, and said that Cruz was playing in to the left’s narrative which allows them to characterize innocent Trump supporters and protesters as terrorists.
