The beautiful thing about social media is that users are not bound by rules set by oppressive regimes. So when the Washington Post wrote an article and posted it on Twitter that explained how Putin’s strong-arm government has banned an image of Putin, depicted as a “gay clown,” Twitter users took advantage of their freedom of speech and of expression to double down on images that depict Vladimir Putin as “gay.” The responses to the article are hilarious!
