UFC fighter Jordan Williams learned a lesson about locking his doors when his stop at a convenience store ended with him giving a beatdown to an alleged attempted carjacker who hopefully learned a lesson too.

The 30-year-old MMA fighter claims a man tried to steal his car right out of a convenience store parking lot.

Surveillance video caught a man getting into his car while he was in the store and then tried to drive off.

TMZ reports Williams confronted the thief and pulled him from the car. Williams said in a social media post that he wishes he would have taught the guy a lesson: “Wish I would of hit him with the trip after the clinch work when I tossed him out of the whip and finish off with some ground and pound. But…I’ll settle with getting my car back.”

Williams posted the surveillance video on social media:

He says this taught him to lock his car doors…and maybe the other guy won’t try and take someone’s property again.
