American Airlines flight 1346 from Minneapolis to Phoenix was full of incidence from one unruly passenger who tried to run onto the tarmac at Sky Harbor International Airport upon arrival after 6 a.m. in Phoenix.

The flight crew had asked the police to meet the airplane upon arrival after the man became ‘aggressive’ during the flight. Once the plane landed, things got really strange. The man sprayed an ‘unknown substance’ on passengers and  randomnly touched the faces of other passengers.

In a statement, American Airlines said:

“American had requested law enforcement meet flight 1346 upon arrival in Phoenix due to a disruptive passenger. Once the flight arrived at the gate, the passenger opened one of doors and jumped off the aircraft. Law enforcement and paramedics responded.”

Arizona Central reports that Hannah Johnson was sitting three rows in front of the unruly passenger. She told The Arizona Republic that about an hour into the flight, the man started becoming disruptive by swearing and acting aggressive to the other passengers on the flight. Flight attendants tried to move him and also tried to calm him down, but Johnson said he still tried to stand up just minutes before the flight was supposed to land.

“Once stopped, he tried to make a run for it hitting various passengers, including me,” Johnson wrote.

Johnson shared the following video that she took after leaving the plane:

Phoenix Police released a statement:

“While waiting for the door to the jet way to open, the man opened the service door on the opposite side of the aircraft and jumped out. He landed on the ground approximately 10 feet below, sustaining minor injuries. Workers at the airport stopped the man and he was taken into custody by Phoenix Police officers without incident. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.”

No identity was released and the man would only face trespassing charges.
