This is a breaking news alert!

Although early reports believed this man taken into custody immediately after the shooting was the suspect, we later told you the suspect was NOT in custody and was still at large on the run:

CNN: Charlie Kirk Shooter NOT In Custody, Still At Large!

I am happy to now report the FBI has a suspect in custody that they believe to be the shooter.

Kash Patel himself made the announcement:

The subject for the horrific shooting today that took the life of Charlie Kirk is now in custody. Thank you to the local and state authorities in Utah for your partnership with @fbi.
We will provide updates when able.
