House Impeachment Managers FOLD, deciding not to call witnesses after President Trump’s legal team announces they will call in Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

House impeachment managers, President Trump‘s legal team and top senators “struck a deal” on Saturday to avoid witness depositions in his WITCH HUNT impeachment trial avoiding a potentially weeks-long drama sparked by an 11th-hour request by Democrats to depose a Republican congresswoman. Despite winning a key vote, Democrats backed down and decided not to call in witness.

The deal allowed for a statement by GOP Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler to be read into the record without the congresswoman or anyone else being deposed as a formal witness.

The compromise allows for the trial potentially to end on Saturday as was initially expected. Closing arguments have begun.

Trump is expected to be acquitted of inciting the Jan. 6 Capitol riot in a mostly party-line vote.

As previously reported by 100% FED Up, the Trump legal team requested to call in Speaker Pelosi and Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser to testify before the US Senate.

“I’m gonna slap subpoenas on a good number of people,” Trump lawyer Michael van der Veen said, adding he would like to hold 100 depositions if any witnesses are called.

“Do not limit the number of witnesses that I can have,” he said.

Jason Miller, a Trump spokesman, said the defense team has a list of 301 witnesses –and counting.

It is well known that Pelosi, Bowser and Mitch McConnell refused to increase security on January 6th for the US Capitol.

Senator Ted Cruz agreed this morning that the Trump legal team will call in Speaker Pelosi to testify along with Mayor Muriel Bowser.

Following this announcement, the House Impeachment Managers backed off from calling witnesses.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned to 100% FED Up for breaking updates.
