Yesterday, President Trump was hit in the face with a boom mic, also called a “dead cat” mic for obvious reasons.

In case you missed it, I have that full story for you here:

“She Just Became The Big Story Tonight” — President Trump Hit In The Face With a Boom Mic

But now I want to advance the story because my immediate thought yesterday was: "this isn't right -- could this be another attempt on President Trump's life?"

I'm not accusing anyone of anything, I'm just saying that these were the immediate thoughts that ran through my head the moment I first saw the clip.

Others also immediately began asking questions:

Grok confirmed this is an unprecedented event....

In other words, for 46 prior Presidents, no one has ever goofed up and pushed a mic into a President's face, but we're supposed to believe this was suddenly just an accident with President Trump:

Jim Hoft over at The Gateway Pundit asks these excellent questions:

This incident could have been much worse than it appeared.

Why was the presser allowed to continue after Trump was hit with the “dead cat” microphone?

Why was this woman not immediately removed from the presser, questioned, held overnight, and banned from all future Trump press briefings?

Why don’t we know her name 15 hours later? – Even AI has not identified her yet.

Where was the Secret Service? Are they OK with the US President being hit in the face with a reporter’s microphone?

Muckraker pointed out that this boom mic could have easily been used to murder President Trump.

Because here's the point...

While President Trump seems to be fine and this was not, in fact, an assassination attempt, the point is it very well could have been.

And it wouldn't take much at all, take a look at this:

It appears the Secret Service did not take immediate action, did not confiscate the microphone, did not really do anything.

Why?

And why do we still not know the identity of the woman who pushed the mic in President Trump's face?

As of press time for this article, no identification has been made.

Some posts and some photos indicated it is the woman shown below, but we cannot independently confirm that:

As I said at the beginning, this entire event may have been completely benign and we're not accusing anyone of any wrongdoing here....

But what about next time?

Why was this allowed to happen in the first place?

Why was nothing done after it did happen?

What happens if it happens again and the next time there is malicious intent?  What then?

Folks, this is a very serious matter and to the best of my vantage point, it's not being taken nearly seriously enough.

Here was our full report from yesterday:

"She Just Became The Big Story Tonight" -- President Trump Hit In The Face With a Boom Mic

If you're in the White House press corps and your job is to cover President Trump, one thing you probably want to avoid doing at all costs is smacking him in the face.

For one reporter, that was a big fail today.

Watch here:

But what really struck me about this (no pun intended) is President Trump's reaction.

This is the most powerful man in the world, guarded by teams of Secret Service, a man who has had at least two known and very close assassination attempts....and so hitting him in the face with something is a real no-no.

And his reaction was simply perfect, if you ask me.

He didn't pretend it didn't happen....

But he didn't really flinch either.

He took the hit to the face, didn't flinch, gives the reporter the side eye, raises his eyebrows a bit playfully but also a bit perturbed, and then makes a joke about it half laughing, half annoyed, and he ends literally with licking his chops.

What a boss!

Watch the backup here if needed:

This is what a true leader looks like folks....
