A US Defense Contractor and his wife are charged with identity theft and conspiring against the government after they were found to be using the IDs of dead Texas babies

Walter Glenn Primrose and his wife, Gwynn Darle Morrison, both in their 60s, lived for decades under the names of dead Texas children Bobby Edward Fort and Julie Lyn Montague. For this, they face identity theft charges. However, the story does not end here.

The couple also face charges of conspiracy to commit an offense against the US and false statement in an application for a passport as prosecutors demand they be held without bail.

The reason? Primrose used these false documents to secure for himself secret security clearance within the US Coastguard and as a defense contractor. Additionally, old photographs show the couple wearing KGB–Soviet era intelligence service–uniforms. While the defense insists that those uniforms were worn only “as a joke,” prosecutors have reason to believe given the full circumstances that Primrose and Morrison very well may have been spies.

The couple have been living under false identities in Hawaii for decades, and with Primrose’s security access in the Coastguard prosecution argues that they could have been supplying our enemies with invaluable information the entire time.

Prosecution also suggests that Primrose’s work as an avionics electrical technician in the Coast Guard gives him ample skill for secretive communication with hypothetical handlers and potential buyers.

Regardless of whether these two actually were KGB spies, their identity theft is still a crime which they must answer for.

The families of the dead children whose identities were stolen were shocked and saddened by the discovery.

a bail hearing for Primrose and Morrison is set for Thursday, however if prosecutors have their way, they will be denied due to their potential for communicating to our enemies and their high flight-risk status.
