The safety and security of mail-in-ballots in America is a highly controversial topic.

In August 2020, Nevada county mailed out 1.3 million ballots for its primary election, but 1 in 5 (223K) were never delivered.

Yesterday, an unidentified voter shared an interesting video showing her mail-in-ballot compared to her brother’s, who lives at the same address. The woman points out that she is a registered Republican and that next to the scan code, in plain view of the mail carrier, an “R” clearly identifies her party for the mail carrier to see. She also points out that her brother, who is a registered Democrat, has a “D” next to his address.

The woman in the video explains why it’s very important to vote in person and not to rely on the US Postal workers to deliver your vote. “So, a postal person could see this if they’re a Democrat and say, ‘Oh, that’s an R,’ let’s just toss it and chuck it—and we’ll keep this one!” she warned.

President Trump has been warning about the dangers of mail-in-voting for several weeks. In May, Twitter went out of their way to discredit President Trump’s claims that mail-in-ballots are not a secure way for Americans to vote, by adding a “Get the fact about mail-in-ballots” label on his tweet.

Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi has gone out of her way to ensure mail-in-voting is accessible for all Americans for the general election.

Politico reports – On Friday, Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) issued a scathing statement accusing President Donald Trump and Republicans of waging an “all-out assault on the Postal Service and its role in ensuring the integrity of the 2020 election.” Their statement came after Trump said he opposes a federal infusion of funds to save the flailing postal service because he doesn’t support mail-in voting.

“The President made plain that he will manipulate the operations of the Post Office to deny eligible voters the ballot in pursuit of his own re-election,” Pelosi and Schumer said. “The President’s own words confirm: he needs to cheat to win.”

Democrats want mail-in voting so badly, that even Barack Obama is accusing Trump of trying to “kneecap the postal service” to affect the outcome of the 2020 election. By now, everyone knows that the dirty, spying, former President doesn’t stick his neck out on issues that don’t affect him, unless it’s critical to harming President Trump.

NBC News reports- Former President Barack Obama, in an interview released Friday, slammed President Donald Trump for trying to “actively kneecap the Postal Service” to affect mail-in voting in the 2020 election and urged lawmakers and citizens to take actions to “protect the integrity” of the election.

Obama, speaking on the podcast of his former campaign manager David Plouffe, was responding to recent comments by Trump, who said earlier this week that holding up emergency funds for the U.S. Postal Service would ensure that the post office would be unable to “take all of these millions and millions of ballots.”

Obama, responding to those remarks, accused Republicans of having tried for years “to discourage people’s votes from counting in all kinds of ways,” like voter identification laws and gerrymandering, but said Trump’s threats were “unique to modern history.”

President Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows is fighting back against Democrats claims that President Trump is undercutting the USPS. Yesterday, he tweeted: “It is NONSENSE to say @realDonaldTrump is undercutting the Postal Service. I know. I oversaw USPS in Congress on the Oversight Committee. It was a mismanaged wreck during the Obama administration—they’ve lost billions for a decade had issues long before this President.”

Proving Trump’s point that postal workers shouldn’t be trusted to handle the nation’s ballots in the general election, the partisan union representing nearly 300K postal workers announced today that they’re endorsing Joe Biden for President.

NBC News reports – Joe Biden gained the presidential endorsement of the National Association of Letter Carriers on Friday, a union that boasts nearly 300,000 active and retired postal workers.

“Vice President Biden is — was — and will continue to be — a fierce ally and defender of the United States Postal Service (USPS), letter carriers, and our fellow postal brothers and sisters,” NALC President Fredric Rolando said in a statement that also praised Democratic vice-presidential pick, Kamala Harris.

The endorsement comes less than three months before Election Day and a day after President Donald Trump said he opposes Postal Service funding pushed by Democrats, noting that those resources were necessary to advance the cause of mail-in voting during the coronavirus pandemic.

Should Trump supporters be worried that their Trump yard signs might cause their partisan mail carrier to “lose” their ballot?
