Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross said what everyone was thinking during a press conference Wednesday night:

“It’s nothing short of a miracle that we don’t have multiple officers killed today.”

Six Philadelphia police officers were injured during a standoff with a suspect who surrendered to police overnight.

Video below of Maurice Hill, 35, surrendering to police after barricading himself in a home for 8 hours:

Hill has a long rap sheet and “has been arrested about a dozen times since turning 18, and convicted six times on charges that involved illegal possession of guns, drug dealing, and aggravated assault.”

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Hill’s first arrest was when he was convicted of having a gun with an altered serial number.

This man is obviously the product of liberal policies that allowed him to stay on the streets when he should be locked up:

He had “numerous charges withdrawn in court”.

One of the past charges was for illegal gun possession!

Ironically, the mayor called for more gun control. How about enforcing the laws on the books?
