A very smart Arizona gun store owner turned Beto O’Rourke’s push for gun confiscation into big sales in just 4 hours.

The owner of Alpha Dog Firearms in Tempe, Arizona said he didn’t intend to make a political statement but got the idea for the gun sale after he saw O’Rourke’s comments on Facebook.

Matt Boggs, owner of Alpha Dog Firearms in Tempe, told host Fox & Friends host Heather Childers:

“I said, maybe I’ll sell 20 rifles and see what happens. We’re a really small store, so just the attention we’ve gotten from this whole thing and the positive response has been amazing,”

Boggs announced the sale of discounted AR-15s and other similar rifles for $350 then sold out in four hours.

Asked about O’Rourke’s comments and the Second Amendment, Boggs said:

“You’re giving up your Second Amendment right. It’s not as simple as, ‘Hey, I want someone’s freedom and I’m gonna give away this cookie.  He then said mass shootings are a “very complex problem” and there is no simple answer.

“This is not something that is going to be a one-step solution. This is gonna require some actual thought … As a law-abiding citizen, my firearms are as safe as my cellphone, in my opinion. … It’s an inanimate object.”

MATT BOGGS IS A VETERAN:

Boggs spoke about his business for VoyagePhoenix.com:
We’re a small veteran owned gun store. We sell guns and gun accessories including Mace and less-lethal weapons–even Taser. We’ve worked hard to support other local businesses and veteran-owned companies. We’re the largest dealer in Arizona of Black Rifle Coffee and we’re top 10 in the US. We are extremely proud that we’ve grown so rapidly in less than a year in business. The support from the gun community and the community, in general, has been amazing. We really focus on being a gun store that people can relate to. We want people to feel comfortable in our store and we really focus on being female and new shooter friendly. We love meeting people who don’t have a lot of experience and we take pride in being a resource for all.
