The popular retailer which is known for its beautiful “angel” models posing in sexy outfits and lingerie, Victoria’s Secret, has made a sharp left turn in their decision to go woke. They will now be featuring America-bashing, pink-haired tomboy lesbian Megan Rapinoe, transgenders, and obese women instead. Welcome to 2021.

According to the Daily Mail, Victoria’s Secret has unveiled their new ‘diverse’ line-up of spokeswomen, after ousting their supermodel squad because they are no longer culturally relevant.

“When the world was changing, we were too slow to respond,” Martin Waters, the chief executive of Victoria’s Secret told The New York Times. “We needed to stop being about what men want and to be about what women want.” He went on, “I’ve known that we needed to change this brand for a long time, we just haven’t had the control of the company to be able to do it. In the old days, the Victoria brand had a single lens, which was called ‘sexy.’”

From 1995 to 2018, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was held annually, where models under contract known as Victoria’s Secret Angels, were featured. The fashion show was canceled in 2019 after organizer Edward Razek resigned under public pressure after remarking that people ‘weren’t interested in seeing plus-size or transgender models on the catwalk’ as ‘the show is a fantasy.’

The freshly woke retailer appears untroubled by past tweets of its newly acquired spokesperson, Megan Rapanoe:

“As a gay woman, I think a lot about what we think is sexy, and we are afforded the ability to do that, because I don’t have to wear the traditional sexy thing to be sexy and I don’t think the traditional thing is sexy when it comes to my partner or people I’ve dated,” Rapinoe was quoted as saying. “I think functionality is probably the sexiest thing we could possibly achieve in life. Sometimes just cool is sexy too.”

Let’s see how this new move translates into relevancy and dollars for the once most popular lingerie retailer.
