Boston Mayor Kim Janey made “controversial comments” about vaccine passports when she compared them to “slave papers”…She mentioned birtherism and President Trump in the same breath:

“There’s a long history in this country of people needing to show their papers. During slavery, post-slavery, as recent as you know what immigrant population has to go through here. We heard Trump with the birth certificate nonsense. Here we want to make sure that we are not doing anything that would further create a barrier for residents of Boston or disproportionally impact BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of color) communities.”

Her rhetoric is over-the-top and hard-left but she has a point about the vaccine passports. Dr. Drew weighed in today to say that the vaccine passport is “modern-day segregation”:

All Bostonians and all Americans should resist this trend or we will never get our freedoms back.

The vaccine passport will be hard to enforce. There is already a problem with counterfeit vaccine passports being used by college students to help them stay in school and avoid the vaccine. A student in Chicago was just arrested for selling fake vaccine passports at $150 apiece.

Young people have minimal risk if they get covid so it’s outrageous for them to be forced to get the vaccine.

Listen to the Boston Mayor denounce the vaccine passports but she doesn’t say if she’ll require one for the citizens of Boston.

This is a slippery slope and an invasion of privacy.
