Senator Doug Jones jumped ship on impeaching President Trump because he says the Ukraine whistleblower complaint depended on “hearsay” and Congress cannot impeach officials based on hearsay.

During the interview on MSNBC, Jones was baited over and over to go against President Trump but wouldn’t bite.

Jones knows this will never pass in the Senate and he had a career as a prosecutor before coming to the Senate. He knows what’s impeachable and this is not.

The anchor on MSNBC tries his best…”Ok, let me try it this way…”

Jones finally lets the guy have it:

“I think it is inappropriate to jump to a conclusion that you want me to jump to right now based on that one transcript. This is too dang serious to do that. We’re talking about the impeachment of the President of the United States. This is a really serious matter, and folks in the media want everybody to take a side, and that’s just not right.”
