CNN’s Jake Tapper tried to drag the El Paso Mayor into a Trump-bashing interview, but Mayor Dee Margo refused to do it.
Tapper was doing what the rest of the mainstream media has been doing since the 2016 election. The main goal of CNN, MSNBC, and other leftist media is to destroy President Trump every chance they get. The nitpicking never stops, and the namecalling is relentless.
What’s so ironic is that every time the media behaves this way, it exposes them for the biased and hateful political hacks they really are.
Tapper asked: “Former Congressman from El Paso, Beto O’Rourke, told me earlier in the show that, in his view, the president’s anti-immigrant rhetoric is making things worse and creating an atmosphere of violence. Do you agree? Do you have any concerns about the things President Trump says about immigrants?”
The El Paso Mayor responded: “Jake, I’m not qualified to make a comment on that. I’m not a talking head. I’m focusing on the El Pasoans and the 20 deaths, their families and what it means to this community and how we can come together and not be victimized by this.”
Bravo to Mayor Dee Margo for not taking the bait that Tapper put out.
