As 100 Percent Fed Up reported, Donald Trump has held discussions about possibly holding a rally in New York City after the 2024 GOP presidential primaries.
Trump spoke with New York Young Republican President Gavin Wax during the group’s gala in New York City about having a rally in the South Bronx.
“He said he liked the idea, he wants the club to lead it. I said we have a large Hispanic caucus and a large black caucus that could lead the way,” Wax said, according to the New York Post.
“I thought he should just walk up and down the Grand Concourse and see what happens,” he added.
From the New York Post:
Wax told The Post the rally would have to take place in 2024 after the primaries — which he expects Trump to put away easily — and that he was inspired by former President Reagan’s own visit to the area in August 1980. The Gipper won New York in the general election that year.
“We’re going to take New York,” Trump said to applause during the dinner. “I believe we have a great chance … With hundreds of thousands of people living on the sidewalks and streets and illegal aliens invading our city and state like nobody thought possible.”
Wax said Trump smelled an opportunity to make inroads with black voters, who polls show are increasingly disillusioned with Democrats and President Biden. Earlier this year, Republicans took a Bronx City Council seat for the first time in half a century and Trump has long been popular with rappers and other black community influencers.
“Democrats have destroyed New York City and they have made life much more difficult for everyone in the State of New York, and that’s reflected in the polling showing momentum for President Trump. The map in 2024 is going to look much different than it did in 2016 or 2020,” a senior Trump aide told The Post.
Although the Bronx is New York City’s bluest borough, Donald Trump has gained support in the area since the 2020 presidential election.
Newsmax correspondent Cara Castronuova previously spoke with residents in the Bronx to find out why.

On Thursday, Cara Castronuova returned to the Bronx to ask residents if they would like to attend a Trump rally in the borough.
“If President Trump came here to the South Bronx, would you attend the rally?” Castronuova asked one man.
“Of course. I would want to meet Trump. I would want to shake his hand,” he answered.
“I would love to go to a rally when Donald Trump comes. Because I’m a big Donald Trump supporter,” another man said.
“Definitely we’re going to show him love,” another man commented.
“We want Trump to come back. Please bro. Biden get out of here,” another man said.
“I would definitely come to a Trump rally in the South Bronx. I like him,” one woman answered.
